What is the biggest bible contradiction or flaw in your opinion?
Just simply, what doesn't make sense in the bible? In your own opinion, no need for backing up every statement with many chapters of text. Just a few lines will do for me.
This is for my personal study, some questions I'd like to ask my friend about. Because I've found some weird "arguments" that the bible presents.
Also, I asked my friend about why so different species are found on different continents, the answer was "goddidit". I just don't understand the line when, stuff that god did are mentioned in the bible and when we are just supposed to believe god did them even if they're not mentioned?
I would also like some creo to explain that for me briefly.
Creationists are also allowed to explain these probable contradictions arising here briefly.
I still don't need just a list of contradictions. Some conversation would help me to ask more specific questions from my friend.
For admins. I've already read many topics about bible contradictions but I would like this to be about listing many of them and discussing them briefly and not so much getting in detail with one specific detail. Bible accuracy and inerrancy please...

Please do not focus on young earth creationism, because the bible doesn't necessarily propose that.
I'm sorry I can't give off examples of contradictions in this opening post, but I think other people can

Re: Revision
Will that do for a promotion ^^ ?
I can give examples of bible contradictions for the OP too if you like, but then it'll be till Friday when I get home and have my material with me.
If it's promoted, this should be the title: What is the biggest bible contradiction?

Thanks for all of your replies. I'll have to ask about Jesus riding different animals from my friend Thanks Clark.
My friends' a Yehowas witness btw. He doesn't want to come speak to the forums because the bible says something that you should not be taking any kind of contact with outcasts because it may stray you from the truth or something. But he's okay with me writing here and discussing his answers with you.
He got me convinced for a while that the bible is inerrant, but after some of my own studying I don't feel that way anymore.
And btw, is hypermicroevolution after Noah's arc explained by creos in any way?

Re: Judas! Don't forget Judas!
The thing is, I've never read the bible very thoroughly so I can't say about the tomb thing.

Re: A modern proposal.

If I wanted to promote atheism, I would advocate for mandatory Bible reading classes in all the public schools.
Actually, in Finland bible reading classes are mandatory for 99% of the people all the way until university. I was one of the 5 people out of 550 in school who didn't have to go to bible reading classes. And that was because of my parents insisting I don't need to read the bible.

I read on some other thread about bible saying the earth is a circle. Is that correct? I mean that if the bible says so, not that if it's true...
And how about "pick and choose" from the bible, any examples of that? Of people picking up stuff not minding that it is contradictory to other things mentioned in the bible.

just one more
Did dinosaurs and man coexist according to the bible? If not, how was there "meat eating" before "the fall" ? Many dinosaurs have been found with creatures in their stomach and creature parts on teeth.

Re: Just another contridiction/ridiculous Biblical quotation, not sure if it the biggest!
8upwidit2
Unless my math is a bit fuzzy again, this says 50,070 men were killed for looking into the Ark of the Covenant. Are we to conclude that each and every one of these 50,070 men looked into that box?
That sounds just too funny
Maybe some creo can clear this up?

A new thread if you have the time and will?
Clark
Also, the JW's Bible has even more contradictions and problems than the orthodox Christian Bible.
I'm particularly interested in this statement. Should we make a new thread or discuss it here briefly?
Would be very nice to know about these problems and contradictions in JW's Bible. Please, if you have the time.
Sorry for this triple post
