I think it is similar with DNA....
Sure. And Christian fundamentalists think that there are passages in the Old Testament that are prophesies of Jesus' crucifixion. Just thinking something is true does not make it so.

1A: A sentence in Bible Ezekiel Book: “ . . a whirlwind came out of the north, . . Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. . . they had the likeness of a man” (KJV, Ezekiel 1:4-5).
Ezekiel had a vision. In this vision, he say a whirlwind. Out of this whirlwind he saw four beings that were similar in appearance to men.

Actually, DNA does not encode the human body. DNA is not a blueprint, either. DNA is simply a molecule that in the right chemical environment will catalyze its own replication, as well as the production of development enzymes that results in a living organism.
At any rate, insofar as DNA is ultimately responsible for the development of human beings, they are also responsible for the development of any other organism. If the passage from Ezekiel were to have some profound meaning, I would have expected it to speak of DNA being the basis of all life, not just men.

Obviously, Ezekiel saw a DNA “helical chain” as a “ whirlwind”; saw “came out of the north” as DNA “right-handed” helical; saw the “four kinds of nucleotides” as “four living creatures”; saw “encoding human biological body” as “form of a man”.
Hey, here's a different one. Ezekiel, in observing a whirlwind, actually observed the earth forming out of the nebula from which the solar system formed -- this dynamic picture seems to be a better fit to the whirlwind than the DNA double helix, which is a static shape. Furthermore, the four beings represent the four cardinal points of the compass that are determined by the earth rotating on its axis. On this earth we see men "appear".
That seems as good a fit to Ezekiel as the DNA business.
I have always preferred, as guides to human action, messy hypothetical imperatives like the Golden Rule, based on negotiation, compromise and general respect, to the Kantian categorical imperatives of absolute righteousness, in whose name we so often murder and maim until we decide that we had followed the wrong instantiation of the right generality. -- Stephen Jay Gould
