In fact, when a whirlwind or tornado occurs in the northern hemisphere, its helical-direction is always counterclockwise just like the right-handed helix. If it occurs in the southern hemisphere the helical-direction must is left-handed helix.
You're talking about the
Coriolis effect. But I think you got it backwards. From the link:

Now, I don't know for sure that the DNA helix is right-handed, which correlates to couterclockwise, IIRC, but if it is, then the author of Ezekial, in the OP, was wrong. That, or he wasn't talking about DNA at all.
