And your solution...
And your solution to the problem is what?
Another holocaust?

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Science
Take a look at the relative accomplishments in science among the Middle Eastern countries.
Israel is in the 21st century and at the forefront of scientific knowledge, while many of the surrounding countries are trying their best to revert back to the Middle Ages. Many of those countries turned their backs on an era of major scientific accomplishment some 600-700 years ago, and embraced fundamentalism instead.
Poverty and religious fundamentalism together are certainly destabilizing.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

It does not pay a prophet to be too specific.

Re: World End?
Most evangelicals were not predicting time frame.
That's wise of them.
Every one that has predicted a time that has come to pass has been wrong.
Every one!
Starting about 1900 years ago, give or take a century.
Sounds like a pretty poor track record to me.

Re: Wailing Wall.
Why do we need Israel?
You'd rather see them all slaughtered?
Been tried before. That led to the formation of Israel and the phrase, "Never again!"

Re: Kill them all?
No one here is suggesting they should all be slaughtered.
The question is, why is Israel needed?
What's the alternative if not slaughter?
Concentration camps somewhere?
Forced relocation to ghettos in Europe?
If you don't have a suitable solution you probably should remain mute.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: Kill them all?
The question is "Why do we need Israel"?
If your answer is to house the Jews living there now, it still does not explain why a Nation State is needed.
You're right.
A concentration camp would do just as well.
With their enemies in charge, just like in Poland and other places leading up to WWII. You should at least have the courtesy to remain silent.
Given your radical opinions, I wonder why you even dare to utter them.

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: Kill them all?
I imagine you can show where I suggested a Concentration Camp or that their enemies should be in charge?
You don't want the Jews to have their own nation.
Under whose kind ministrations would you have them live?
Their Arab neighbors? (Who have sworn to drive them into the sea.)
The UN? (Fine job they are doing in Lebanon.)
Maybe there are a few SS guards who haven't been caught who could fill in until new folks can be trained.
(Remember the phrase, "Never again!"?)

Re: Kill them all?
But teh question is "Why do we need Israel"?
And the answer is "Never again!"
Don't you get it?
Remember the holocaust? Surely you must remember that--it was in all the papers for a while.
Israel means that it may, hopefully, not happen again.
But there are so many people, mostly on the left, who would love to see the Jews thrown under the bus. I never could understand the reason for that, but that attitude seems to be getting more prevalent.
This thread you started seems to be coming from that viewpoint.
So let me ask you this: why do you want the Jews thrown under the bus once again?

Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

Re: Kill them all?
I think some nutjob hacked into your account and is posting ridiculous comments on your behalf, Coyote.
I like rooting for the underdog. I'm pulling for Tibet also.
And I am also wondering why the extreme left is so hateful when it comes to Israel, but falls over themselves for Castro and Chavez and the other socialist tinpot dictators. Riddle me that.
