Boy, you really are a peice of work. You need research to see that vengeance(revenge) makes one feel better? Wait let me guess, you are of the ilk that subscribes to " the best revenge is to live the best life you can and achive the success you want and blah blah blah".
Actually, I would like to see the research. Human psychology very rarely matches what "common sense" would have us believe.
For example, "common knowledge" suggests that using violence on an inanimate object, or in a sport like boxing, is a "healthy" way of "venting."
In reality, research has shown that using violence to "vent" frustration simply reinforces violence as an acceptable response to frustration, while just calming down (usually thought of as unhealthy "suppression") reduces stress, increases patience, etc.
Our predictions of how we'll feel after taking a certain action very frequently do not match what we actually feel after the action is taken.
