It makes people aware of the gospel, and what it means. It brings to light the gift that God gave us and sending his son.
As I recall, the stated intention of the video was to help true believers convince atheists. It seem you think that is it's purpose and that it is good at it.
However, let's say there are two kinds of atheists; the utterly stupid and the moderately smart. The even a little bit smart will simply laugh at the idiocy of the video and have their views of true believers confirmed still further (if they have been exposed to some of those on a site like this
).
The stupid ones might say "Wow, I hadn't thought of that." Of course, the first time they hand a banana to an atheist who is of the slightly smart type they will have the stupidity of the video pointed out and be that much less likely to be fooled next time.
All in all, a video that might be very good for fooling the true believers into feeling good but not one that will be useful for convincing anyone not already convinced (or very stupid).
