Shocking.
Why do you find this shocking?
FliesOnly writes:
I mean after all, not only has Huckabee come out and said the he wants the Constitution changed so it reflects the word of God and not the word of man

he has now come out and compared same sex marriage with incest, polygamy, a pedophilia.

Well, I see that others have provided links for you, so I think we can pretty much skip over this one. I'm a bit surprised that you hadn't heard the comments...what with you being a supporter of this nut job. But then again I'm not that surprised, seeing how this has gotten so very little coverage in this supposed Liberal media we have.
But like I said, even someone deeply religious should stand up and speak out against this sort of rhetoric. Yes, even you, Nemesis Juggernaut, you should stand up and say that in this Country, this sort of idea is completely against what we (the U.S.) stand for. But yet you don't. You apparently agree with him that the bible should supplant our Constitution.
Nemesis Juggernaut writes:
Since he is the only Republican candidate not to have flop-flopped on an issue, his steadfast character does appeal to me.
For years, my brother...one of the most devoted Republicans on the planet...used this exact argument in support of George W Bush and Dick Cheney. He now thinks that both should be impeached and imprisoned. Yes...it's true...my brother has finely admitted that for years, I was correct.
His steadfast character is no reason to vote for him unless you also happen to believe what he stands for. And that, NJ, is what I find so troublesome. He friggen wants the Constitution of our Country changed to reflect the word of his biblical (and your) Christian God. How can you live here and support this kind of ideal. You want a religious theocracy...fucking move to the Middle East.
Nemesis Juggernaut writes:
Maybe because your conspiracy theories aren't grounded in fact.
What conspiracy theories are you talking about? I pretty much quoted what he himself...you know...your pal Huckabee..said at a campaign speech and you somehow twist that into me having a "conspiracy theory"? Why not address the facts NJ? Hell, even you apparently never heard about his comments and you support the guy. That's hardly what I'd call a "conspiracy theory".
Nemesis Juggernaut writes:
I highly, highly doubt he's ever said any such thing. It sounds like a distortion on your part.
Yeah...well...now that we know it wasn't a distortion, can I assume that you'll be speaking out against Huckabee now? Are you you going to say something like:
"Hey FliesOnly, thanks for pointing out that my Candidate wants to change our Constitution to reflect Gods word. While I myself am a Christian and have a deep faith, I can no longer support a Candidate that apparently has no idea what one of the underlying principles, upon which this great Country of ours was founded, happens to be. Thanks for helping me to see just how anti-American Huckabee is."
Are ya Nemesis Juggernaut...are ya gonna say anything remotely like that?

I would never want a theocracy for the sole fact that everyone he wants one wants to be Theo.
Good for you...welcome to the Democratic Party.
