Tragedy or Comedy?
As usual, a once a week check is all it takes to observe the worst in people. I guess every vegetarian is Hitler, everyone who drinks is Stalin, and everyone who eats meat and drinks is Ben Franklin. (apologies to Godwin, but I must consider the probable limitations of the protagonist's ability to recognize a wide variety of historic individuals).
However, I must recognize the relationship between tragedy and comedy, and what a thin line there is between one and the other.
Thanks for the comedy, John 10:10, I will never take you even remotely seriously again. To me, unless you have some divine revelation concerning even the most rudimentary form of kindergarten logic, you will forever remain a joke.

The idea of the sacred is quite simply one of the most conservative notions in any culture, because it seeks to turn other ideas - uncertainty, progress, change - into crimes.
Salman Rushdie
This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It’s us. Only us. - the character Rorschach in Watchmen
