I have heard the teaching that there were really two elements of the law the rules and the sacrifices. Sacrifices had to be done yearly, because clean animal blood could not atone for the continuing sin of man which is why Jesus came to confirm the law. He became the first priest of the new order. By definition he was the first in the line of the priests from the tribe of David with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He did not have any followers ie potential mates until after he was dead as by definition the Holy Spirit did not come down until after Jesus was resurrected and told his disciples not to wait. No one was worthy to take his place as the bride of Jesus. Levitical law required priests to marry within their own clan. And no one was baptized in the HS until after the death of J. Now we are all his bride as part of the church once baptized into the name of J.
I don't see a problem with the ceremony. God is the great I am. He witnesses to himself.
Don't get twisted and call it gay.
