Because Faith in Christ's Resurrection Believes Biblical Literacy
A believer (by Biblical definition (1COR 15:1-3)) is an entity who very adamently believes that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and on the 3rd day rose again unto the right hand of God.
Because Christ's gospel is the anti-type of those questionable Biblical events (i.e., the Flood, beguiling of Eve by a "talking serpent", Jonah's death burial and resurrection, etc.)
It becomes perfectly parsimonious and logical to believe those Biblical events are literal.

Ouch!
Crashfrog,
Talk about embarrassing Satan and his atheists. How can one seriously refute another about his/her deity when atheists are commanded to deny deity?
Methinks, Satan would have an atheist respond more logically and subtly, like:
What cosmic logic, I don’t see any logic?
What cosmic order, I don’t see any order?
What non-chaotic events, its all randomness to me?
What redeeming events, redeeming events don’t exist?
What brotherly love, charity, benevolence, etc.
What prophecy ever fulfilled?
In sum, atheism is mere dogmatic hype. Truly atheism is perhaps the most illogical hype out there; few here play that game.
Also, accusing and insulting folks is a fine art these days. Terrorism and bashing fails to avail. Compassion is in order.
Philip
