Haha!!! Good call!
Actually, the thought of saying that had never really crossed my mind. Not in those terms, anyway. I was more interested in asking you to actually answer my post. You know, where I asked you if your post (directly after mine) was a response thereto. If that is in fact the case, and you are asking me what my question is, you must have missed the fact that my post (to which you seemed to be objecting) contained two questions directly pertinent to the actual topic of this thread. Go ahead and check it out. Number 7.

Headcase Maybe God is testing us by seeing who would be cowardly enough to allow His son to take the sins we incurred thereby checking out the real character of the person.

I might have read this somewhere, but I can't remember. If not, then I guess it's my own idea.
God is, in a sense, omnipotent. Therefore, it is reasonable to say God can travel at the speed of light. Einstein hypothesized that time is different at or near the speed of light (the most common example: if I travel at the speed of light for ten minutes and return to earth, a thousand years may have passed there). So what if God, while creating the earth, was travelling at the speed of light (for whatever reason)?
Keep in mind I am just throwing out an idea, here. There is little or no evidence to support this, and I don't really know if I believe it. Also, I am not just making "a futile attempt to rationalize religion." Just simply throwing out an idea.

Re: Reply
I have often asked many creationists or even christian/evolutionists to prove the existence of god. the most common reply I've heard is:
"Prove there isn't!
These types of things are ridiculous and are only a poor defense of a belief in something that has no evidence to support it. The burden of proof rests on he who asserts the statement.
Ah... but you say, "Well, you can't prove evolution either, so there!"
There are some fundamental differences between the derivation of the theory of Evolution and the theory of Creationism. Evolution uses FACTS to infer from. Creationism has this massive gaping whole that requires faith and not evidence to fill. A scientist sees the fossil layer, he says that less complex life forms preceded more complex ones. A creationist says, I believe in god (first), hey! there's the fossil layer, God must have made it to trick us. See how it works? Creationists believed in god before they saw the evidence, they merely twisted it to fit their irrational beliefs.

Your theology's as screwed as your philosophy. John 3:16 - God so loved the world...

You assert the statement that there is no God, RIGHT? The burden of proof is on you. You have a poor defense of your belief as an atheist. Where is you EVIDENCE to support your THEORY of atheism?

Re: Reply
No. You assert there are no purple pixies on Venus. Is the onus on you to prove that? So you have no evidence to support your a-purple pixieism.
But if God does exist, the onus is on us who believe in Him to make Him known. Do you think your showing on here - scientifically, logically, philosophically and theologically flawed - has done that effectively?

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should have everlasting life.
So... whosoever does not believe in Him is under the hatred, anger, wrath, judgement and condemnation of God to eternal Hell. Sorry, but God does create broken vessels meant for destruction. God is love, yet God judges...

Re: Reply
A man named Muhaamud wrote the koran under the inspiration of "Gabriel". When "Gabriel" would give him visions, he would fall down on the ground and foam at the mouth. This is a sign of demon possesion. Maybe this was an angel giving him visions, a fallen angel. It wasn't Gabriel.

Re: Reply
Hi,
Yes God creates broken vessels meant for destruction, which proves what a twisted, horrific, psychopathic God you believe in.
It really is time that people escaped from the madness of being trapped inside a fairy tale that claims YWHW is love. Accept Him for what he is, an egocentric psychopath.
Anyone reading the Bible with even a hint of objectivity surely cannot fail to be horrified at some of the actions of YWHW, most of the time He is like a big baby throwing a tantrum.
Brian.
