Thylacine is the correct spelling.

Re: Spelling
There is an article in the 12 Dec issue of Science that goes into eutherian/metatherian ancestry, but the online version requires a subscription. They do link, however, to this index which appears to lead to pdfs with lots of info on thylacines as well as other marsupials.

I am saying that the FETUS of a Thylicine does not look any different then the full grown Thylicine (except the stripes),SO, what exactly developed because of adaptation or convergent evolution?
It may be a long weekend...........

Elder, if you come onto a forum titled "Evolution" in a state of ignorance so profound as to think that embryonic development is the same thing as evolution, I feel pretty well justified in thinking that disabusing you of such notions might take even longer than this weekend. Maybe much longer.
Go read a high-school biology text.

(Pls note the thylacine "foetus" is about to be born looking at its stage of development, if it hadn't already been).
That was bothering me, too. I'll bet the rent that that picture was of an infant thylacine from the pouch, not a "true" fetus. It's too well developed, to my utterly inexpert eye, to be a pre-birth marsupial. A late-stage placental wolf, perhaps, would look that ready for the outside world.

Elder, I'm sorry that my reading comprehension is so lacking. Perhaps you could clarify for me:
I am saying that the FETUS of a Thylacine does not look any different then the full grown Thylacine (except the stripes),SO, what exactly developed because of adaptation or convergent evolution?
What were you driving at? What does the second clause in this sentence have to do with the first?

WK - I haven't been able to get on II lately, either. Maybe we should ask the IPU to miraculously intervene and restore it???

Evolution means gradual and slow improvement via mutation. This process has no room for Genesis because of the eons and eons of time it requires AND because Genesis clearly says life was suddenly created by God.
"Gradual and slow improvement?" Why don't you at least get a clue what you're arguing against, WT? You've been around here long enough by now to no that none of us atheistic fiends, despite our Godsensectomies, are so ignorant of the findings of biology as to think that evolution is about "improvement!" It's about change to get by under the current conditions - no teleology there at all.
And what Genesis "clearly says" about quite a few things has long since been shown not to be in agreement with physical reality - if "life was suddenly created" it sure left a peculiar multi-million year record of that suddenness.
