Re: VOTE NOW - Calling All UK Members
Although not a UK citizen, mind if I play along?
Issues I'd like to raise(I think I'll be playing a dumb idiot for this part:
  • Less taxes!
  • Kick out the towelheads/cameljockeys/sandniggers!
  • Free education!
Now my two picks are kick out the towelheads and lower taxes. You're not patriotic and scared of Islam, you Dhimmy fags!If you don't vote my way, they'll soon take over! How would you like to wear a burka! They're threatening our way of life! We have to stop them! (that should gather me quite some votes )
Although, on this forum, nobody will probably pick the second choice. I'll represent that part of your citizens here.

I don't mind at all. You have been a main participant in this thread all along. So you are now an honorary Brit
Although, on this forum, nobody will probably pick the second choice. I'll represent that part of your citizens here.
Yep. The more diverse the more realistic as far as I am concerned.
Less/lower taxes I would have thought would be an obvious thing that a huge amount of people would advocate and support.
To others - Keep the issues (incl any further advocacy for those already mentioned) coming in.

  • Get safely and stably out of recession with a long term view to economic stability.
  • Solve the elderly crisis (there are more and more of them, and it looks to continue to rise).

You know how you could solve that? Kick out the towelheads!
Have you got any idea how much money these people cost us each year? Not to mention when they decide to blow themselves up in the underground! Billions could be saved! Get rid of them, improve the safety of our country and solve the elderly problem with the money you don't have to spend on rebuilding the underground and helping all the people that got hurt/died fulfilling those cameljockeys' wishes for 72 virgins!

    Good issues. A quick summary:
6 participants so far and the following issues suggested:
  • Voting reform
  • Deficit reduction
  • Troop withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan
  • Get safely and stably out of recession with a long term view to economic stability.
  • Solve the elderly crisis (there are more and more of them, and it looks to continue to rise).
  • Less taxes!
  • Kick out the towelheads/cameljockeys/sandniggers!
  • Free education!
  • Financial reform (break up the banks so they have to stand on their own two feet).
  • Overhauling the nhs to reduce bureaucracy
We need a few more participants if possible. So anyone else?

I do have one question though:
    This point by Larni:
  • Overhauling the NHS to reduce bureaucracy
Is rather vague, isn't it? How exactly should we overhaul the NHS? Kick out towelheads, so their spaces on the waiting lists can be take up by proper UK citizens? I'm all for that! Firing hard working and honest UK citizens essential to running the NHS administration? No way! You hate this country, don't you Larni?

    Is rather vague, isn't it?
As is "Deficit reduction". Part of the test here is to see if once we have a bunch of proposed issues we are able to agree on, and then pose, a meaningful question to put to the mass public vote.
I am assuming that - "Do you want to reduce the deficit - Yes or No?" or some other such meaningless ambiguity that is unable to result in a specific action will not be sufficiant. But once we have the full list of issues and have worked out which are the two of primary importance we can ask Legend how he envisages setting about creating a meaningful question.
Remember we are ultimately testing the proposed methodology of his direct democracy idea here.

I'm an honorary UK citizen because I've shagged(right word?) a broad from over there.
    1) Dental plan reform.
    2) Black socks on the beach with short shorts reform.
    3) Get rid of the towelheads...and replace them with more dentist, reform.

    Yes.
    1) Dental plan reform.
I think that's covered by the NHS.
    3) Get rid of the towelheads...and replace them with more dentist, reform.
    Amen to that brother!

You are mixing your UK and US colloquialisms."Shagged a broad" would be understood by any Brit as having had sex in a foreign country (shagged abroad).

    Hi Straggler,
    Let's see..
  • Voting reform _ with the Lib Dem's now in government, it seems increasingly absurd that we keep a political system which forces them into an unbreakable poor third place.
  • Tax reform - I think that the rich could be paying more and that people on low incomes shouldn't be perpetually paralysed by lack of money (crazy huh?). The gap between rich and poor has grown under "Labour" and that is shameful.
So far the government promise a little bit of both, although I hardly think that the Tories are going to be keen re-distributors of wealth.
