Spider-Man or Superman

After collecting for 20 years, having 10,000 comics (Mostly Marvel and Image) I have stopped per my wifes orders.Some silly thing about paying bills and the such. Sheesh.The Dark Reign run was awesome. Having the leads be the villians made the stories much more interesting..........and violent.Edited by hERICtic, : No reason given.

I disagree. I have not collected DC recently, but overall, nearly all Marvel characters/teams were much more "down to earth" than the DC rivals. It seemed like many more characters from DC flew, were from outerspace, had sillier names and lousy costumes.For DC, you have BatMAN. SuperMAN. Wonder WOMAN. GREEN Lantern. SuperBOY. HawkMAN. MARTIAN MANhunter, StarMAN, Animal MAN, BLUE Beetle, GREEN Arrow Those are just a few examples.Its like they just throw out the gender, color or where they are from to make a character.Yeah, Marvel has a few...but not even close.From the Justice League cartoon: you have Batman (human), Wonder Woman (not human per se), Martian Manhunter (alien), Superman (alien), Aquaman (not sure, but wearing orange???), Hawkgirl (alien) and Green Lantern (human with alien technology).So down to "earth" doesnt seem to apply when most arent even human so to speak.In comparison, the Avengers: Thor (I suppose you could call him an alien), Cap America (human), Hulk (human),Wasp (human), Iron Man (human).

What did you think of the Wolverine movie?

I agree. The movie was not that good. Even though you like Hugh, I still have a problem with him. As an actor, I like him. I just cannot compare him to the Wolvering in the comics. Hugh is too...clean? Movie star looking? I also hate when they take characters from comic books...........and change their story. Blob ate himself fat? I also liked the Sabretooth from the X-men movies better than the one presented in Wolverine. Movie should have had less characters and much darker.Now Downey Jr nailed Stark perfectly.

Punisher was always one of my fave characters (perhaps bc I lean towards the more violent ones), but he is one of the more simpler ones to write for....character wise. I would like to forget all three Punisher movies though. Awful.

Yeah, Kelsey portrayed a great Beast. The Juggernaut, one of my all time faves, again...another example of a comic character being misportrayed in the movie. They couldnt find an actual body building American red head? To put an English guy in a body suit............. I'm hoping the "sucky comicbook adaptation" that usually is par for the course...........isnt. I have no interest in the upcoming Green Lantern (but I do hope it performs well), but look forward to Thor.Iron Man though, needs to get a villian thats NOT in a suit of armor though. Theres only so many "robots" you can fight before it becomes quite boring.

Aw c'mon! Yeah, he made a great Punisher..but the movie was lousy! How about the Punisher walking through the city, decked out in his uniform and guns galore......right past everyone, no problem asked. Huge explosive, gazillion rounds of ammo shot finale...but no cops at the end. Even Jigsaw and his henchemn were weak! The director treated the movie like a silly BAD comic book instead of injecting some realism into it.

Yeah, I throw up in disgust everytime those guys are omitted from the Academy Awards also. Hard to believe Van Damme also hasnt won.

In acting? Their all winners in my book! But in a fight? Van Damme already beat Lundgren in Universal Soldier! Norris almost beat Bruce Lee! And Seagal....how can you not be the greatest film fighter of all time when you run like this:

Crazy talk! People made a big deal when Pacino, De Niro and Brando were together! Imagine the accolades that would pour in for the thespians Lundgren, Norris, Van Damme and Seagal if they were in a movie together! The sheer magnitude of their acting ability and their testosterone..................wow, its just too much to imagine.
