I'm of the view that homosexual behaviour varies wildly by culture; I take as evidence the reports I've read of various cultures, from the homo-normative Spartan lifestyle to the radically anti-homosexual views of post-war Britain that lead to Turing's suicide. If you have data that contradicts this, I'd love to read it.Homosexuality definetly has a genetic element - as does, pretty much, everything else - but I find it extremely doubtful it's as clearcut as XY/XX male/female. I also think modern notions of homo/hetro sexuality are fitting more complicated issues into modern pidgeon holes.
