My daily paper carried Hitchen's column which I looked forward to. I know that we were poles apart on the issue of Christianity but he was a brilliant writer and a thoughtful one. I'll miss reading his insights. His columns were always stimulating.

Jean Vanier
Born as a child of privilege and lived a life to serve poeple with mental disabilities around the world. He was a true hero.

Re: Little Richard, 87
I still have his original LP record from when I was a teenager. I could only play it at a volume that my dad couldn't hear it, which largely meant listening to the needle in the groove. I still play in a band where we play at small clubs around and do songs like Tutti Frutti and Long Tall Sally.
Both him and Chuck Berry gone now. The world keeps turning.

Capt. Jenn Casey
Jenn Casey was a PR rep with the RCAF Snowbird aerobatic team whose picture I use for my avatar. She was on the aircraft that lost power right after getting airborne and ejected to low and did not survive.

Thanks Tangle. She was a great lady. I met her and her husband one time in about 1973 on a flight from St. Johns NFLD to London. What a great inspirational lady. She was a true war hero. She went to dangerous places to give the troops a taste of home.

Re: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
I admired her for the way she dealt with her families behaviour and squabbles. I personably would hate the life she led. I heard someone once call it "living in splendid isolation". I'm not much of a monarchist but even living in Canada I felt of her as an institution that would just always be there.
I remember when I was very young standing at the side of the street in Calgary waving my flag enthusiastically as she, still as Princess Elizabeth, drove by and smiled and as I recall it even waved back,

He has told you, O man, what is good ; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God.
