Re: Hall of Fame Slugger Harmon Killebrew dead at 74
Killer's hometown was only a few miles away from where I grew up. He will be missed. Not only did he have a huge bat, he had a big heart as well. He was always a class act, even during his last days. Baseball lost a great one.

We will miss you Ray
One of the great Sci-Fi writers has passed away, a Mr. Ray Bradbury: MSN | Outlook, Office, Skype, Bing, Breaking News, and Latest Videos For me, he ranked up there with Orwell and Vonnegut. He will be missed.

Re: Tom Petty, 66
News reports are now saying that he is on life support. If the rumors are true, there is some hope.

Randi's take downs of Uri Geller were hall of fame worthy. The world is a poorer place after Randi's passing.

Re: Steven Weinberg, 88
May 3, 1933 – July 23, 2021 Steven Weinberg - Wikipedia Sorry I missed this... He was one of my favorite curmudgeons of physics and atheist thought. Sad to hear of his passing. His discussion of philosophy in "Dreams of a Final Theory" is still one of my favorites: http://joelvelasco.net/...einberg%20against%20philosophy.pdf

Re: Greg Bear - Science Fiction Author
I haven't read his work in quite a few years, but I really enjoyed them. Sad to see him go, especially at such a relatively young age. I would have really enjoyed seeing him involved in getting some of his work translated over to film/TV.
