Never was a fan. Though he was fairly liberal, his music idealized a white-dominant, paternalistic, colonial view of the tropics.

I was aware of her because Three's Company was on TV when I was a horny teenager. I have a vague memory of her selling lotions, potions and notions. There are numerous TV and movie folk I am unaware of as I rarely watch TV or go to movies.

My problem with them is that the vast majority are based on embarrassing people. The laughs are cheap. As a person with anxiety issues, I can not watch shows like that. They make me extremely uncomfortable and self conscious. Edited by Theodoric, .

When I was kid we visited my grandparents in NYC during the 60's and 70's. I remember going to the automat when we we would go downtown to do touristy things. I don't remember any uptown. We visited NYC every month or so, but don't have a lot of memories.

The only one of the horseman that any effect on me is Hitchens and that is solely because of Hitchens’s Razor. “What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.” Dennett always seemed to me to not get a lot of the science side of things. He was a navel gazing philosopher. Nothing wrong with that, but it certainly limits one’s relevance. Like Dawkins he became openly supportive of TERF(Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) ideology. Another time an entitled old white guy decides he should spout on about something he knows nothing about. Sorry he is dead, but meh. No not sorry. He was old, he was sick. It happens.

That is him. His understandings and ideas of science, consciousness and darwimism seemed to be way too much philosophical goo and lots of words saying nothing.
