Re: Do you really not understand the question?
Paul used excommunication and you would consider that outside the government I assume? You would consider it a church issue right? You would want the son in law and mother in law to have the right to marry if it is monogamous? I won't ask about selling merchandise and commercial/business practical situations in a person's job life. I am just asking about church and state issues related to secular law. (i will leave the questions around the highly developed anti-discrimination modern secular laws out of my posts )

Re: This should sum up this topic
We all arrived at this interpretation independently of each other, nobody is dictating it. I knew immiediately why the Kleins refused a wedding cake, why the florist refused to arrange flowers, the photographer to shoot a gay wedding. It didn't need to be explained to me. We know how to understand the Bible. There must be millions of us too, but unfortunately there are people who think they are Bible-believers who aren't so it's hard to know the numbers.

Re: Do you really not understand the question?
There is no "secular" issue here. If a band of armed LGBTs came to a conservative Bible-believing baker and demanded a wedding cake for a gay wedding the baker would have to say no to them same as to a law legalizing gay marriage.

Re: Do you really not understand the question?
I asked about whether you felt the son-in-law and the mother-in-law should legally be allowed to marry(if she divorced his dad ). Do you think Paul would have a preference when it comes to secular laws of Corinth?

I asked about what you think Paul felt about the law - secular laws of Corinth. I am also asking what you think about American law allowing former in-laws to marry.

Again Faith, reality says that you are wrong. You do not get to decide whether or not someone is a Bible Believer. Sorry but them's the facts.
You can decide someone cannot be a member of your chapter of Club Christian but you do not get to impose your bible interpretations on others.
Thank God God's law carries no weight in the US.

Re: This should sum up this topic
Sure, it is simple.
The "Christians" want to stop gays getting the secular rights of marriage and the rest is just a smokescreen. You started by confusing the issue of anti-discrimination laws with the legalisation of gay marriage and kept on doing it throughout the thread. Since the subject had been covered in previous threads and is pretty obvious to anyone who actually cares about the issue it seems pretty clear you are more interested in taking rights away from gays than anything else.
And you tried to excuse this by claimimg that you were to busy responding to the replies to get the original post right.
In addition there seems to be no Biblical case for denying services associated with marriages to gay weddings - but there is a Biblical case for obeying anti-discrimination laws.
Whether the bakers are bigots or have been duped by bigots - I'm sure we all remember the propaganda campaign against gay marriage - doesn't make much of a case for revoking the law permitting gays to marry or to consider gay marriage an attack on Christianity (although I am sure 'Christians" were offended that the Supreme Court refused to obey them). In the first instance they are culpable, in the second the propagandists are culpable.
In my view, it is those who seek to link Christianity to the oppression of gays who are really attacking Christianity.

The Great False God of Equality (Lucifer) has been building his anti-Christian civilization since the so-called Enlightenment. The religion of Equality gave birth to the evils of Communism and feminsim. Gay rights and same-sex marriage are other powerful weapons which this False God and his false religion have invented to oppose Christianity.
But God allows it to continue because it serves to separate the "sheep" from the "goats" - ie, to separate those who follow the light of Christ from those who follow the the darkness of the world. When Satan comes along speaking in the name of equality, who can oppose him?

Presumably, people who can't stand equality.

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Jesus of course was not a Christian but he certainly was both a communist and a socialist who was very much in favor of equality. Looks like you are yet another ignorant Christian who has never actually read the Bible and knows nothing about Jesus or his message.
Remember, all the goats were his followers.

I see gay marriage as an attack on Isis. The more gays get married and insist on their rights, the worst Isis looks like.
