Where are all the missing links?

I write little computer programs for fun. I am constantly, constantly, constantly 're-inventing the wheel'.Why? For fun. That's the only reason I do it in the first place.It's fun to see how many ways I can figure out to do something. Kludging one 'design' to do a lot of different things is not fun.The same principle applies to all forms of 'creation'. I also do wood carving and acrylic painting. I don't modify the same old design over and over again. I look for whole new ways to do things.You're really forcing your 'Designer' into a boring little box.

Just bizarre. Since when is the 'designer' of the universe subject to constraints? That's what I mean about you shoving Her into a little box.To relate this to the subject of missing links: why would there be any links if every organism was specially designed?Why design archaeopteryx with feathers and teeth? Dinosaurs without feathers were pretty successful and birds without teeth are still pretty successful. If Archie was just an experiment, where are the other experiments? Where is the fish-whale experiment?It seems to me that a 'designer' - as you describe Her - would have left a lot of more-or-less successful experiments behind. So, where are all the missing experiments?
