Come on, your idea that God only made it look like the earth is billions of years old is based on what? nothing. Just a futile attempt to rationalize religion. And when you are challenged with this fact you respond with "I don't know, I'm not God."

Re: Reply
Are you trying to avoid real discussion by threatening me with divine judgment for using the reasoning capabilities with which I was born?
Watch out! you might get smote. God doesn't like a thinker.

Re: Reply
I have often asked many creationists or even christian/evolutionists to prove the existence of god. the most common reply I've heard is:
"Prove there isn't!
These types of things are ridiculous and are only a poor defense of a belief in something that has no evidence to support it. The burden of proof rests on he who asserts the statement.
Ah... but you say, "Well, you can't prove evolution either, so there!"
There are some fundamental differences between the derivation of the theory of Evolution and the theory of Creationism. Evolution uses FACTS to infer from. Creationism has this massive gaping whole that requires faith and not evidence to fill. A scientist sees the fossil layer, he says that less complex life forms preceded more complex ones. A creationist says, I believe in god (first), hey! there's the fossil layer, God must have made it to trick us. See how it works? Creationists believed in god before they saw the evidence, they merely twisted it to fit their irrational beliefs.

You assert the statement that there is no God, RIGHT? The burden of proof is on you. You have a poor defense of your belief as an atheist. Where is you EVIDENCE to support your THEORY of atheism?
No I don't, I never said that. Wrong. How can i have a belief in
nonexistance? such reasoning defies logic.
I think someone above this said something about proving the non-existence of pink elephants...
I don't believe there is a god because there is no objective evidence for his existence. There is no "theory of atheism," I'm sure all atheists here would agree that if there was a parting of the clouds with a bright light and a booming voice that yes there was a god. How can you actively disbelieve in something? I require no faith system to not believe.
