monist. i suppose. but. there are at least ten and possibly infinite dimensions. we don't know what those demensions entail nor what may be hiding from us there. there is no reason to assume that what we can see (being so limited in our observational abilities) is all that there is.

i think it's entirely possible that there are things we do not currently 'see' nor understand nor can explain that are within our 'sphere of existence'. we simply don't know they are there.you're the one who is insisting that a 'spiritual realm' is outside of our existence or influence.This message has been edited by brennakimi, 04-25-2006 04:04 PM

however, in my opinion, a dimensional barrier could be responsible for this. for instace, time is a dimension. as space is expanding, the dimensions must also be. therefore, time must be expanding and in all directions. however, we only percieve it expanding forward. this is a dimensional barrier. i see no reason why the same issue may be responsible for preventing a perception of a "spirit" dimension.

i didn't say it was supernatural, you did. i assume nothing of the sort. i simply suggested that it's something that we don't know about that is as yet imperceivable from within only the four main dimensions that humans use.

um yeah. why is this a problem? what is it you're having difficulty with? i already said i'm a monist.i simply think it's ridiculous to assume that things such as have been regarded as 'supernatural' do not exist simply because people have assumed that they are supernatural. lack of understanding does not hold bearing on reality.

no silly. you are saying that only apples exist. i'm saying that green apples exist.i'm saying that things could exist that are very natural, people just don't understand them and they seem supernatural. something like a dimensional rift that could cause "ghosts". it's simply a misunderstood phenomenon.you're tripping over your own definitions and assuming that they are mine. you keep assuming i'm talking about supernatural things. i think they're entirely natural. merely our current perception which is very limited keeps us from knowledgable interaction.
