No, just a few off the top of my head.
Job, Esther, etc etc... I don't think there are many that could fit that criteria. Keep in mind books that tell like stories may fit your theory but that does not mean they never happened.

Mark was likely written between 65-75CE, Matthew sometime later, probably after 75CE, Luke is likely from even later, probably between 90 and 100 CE while John was probably post 100 CE.
The Gospel of Thomas may have been the first written down.
This isn't evidence.

Re: Actually, what I said was....
You might want to do some research on the Synoptic Problem and the history of the Gospels. It's fascinating.

Re: Actually, what I said was....
Wait a minute Job's long dialogues, the arguments with his friends. This could not be a story told around the fire. What was I thinking.

The gospels reveal something so intimate about God, they had to have known Jesus.

I don't understand why. If the parables are to be taken seriously and didn't happen, why would it make a difference if other biblical events were fictional?
Words like that I feel, couldn't have never happened, like wrote by some philosopher in his house.
Other religions come up with very similar stuff of equal magnititude. You don't believe they all happened, do you?

Re: Actually, what I said was....

So no answer for the question I asked?
Does it matter if the events related in the parables actually happened or were simply stories told to illustrate a point?
Again, you are wrong is asking this question, parables told by Jesus are truly different then what you are deeming "stories" of the Bible.
BTW Address this
No (for the question)
But, you are thinking that if I will admit to the parables not happening, then of course I will see the logic, and understand that what you are calling "stories" of the Bible also did not happen, but were put in the Bible to maybe illustrate a point, Jar You did not address this in post 125, maybe I can count on you for the next reply...

Charles Knight
Charles Knight, will you please follow through with the promise?
(Disproving the Bible's campfire stories.)
Or wait did you mean (Proving the stories are fiction?)
Yeah that's what you meant, respond AsAp.

Re:
It's not being real. If a man named Jesus never told those parables and some writer made them up, then it's fake. I can't believe something that never happened. I put my faith in Jesus that he actually said those parables, that he existed that he walked on this earth, that he changed the world. I can't accept the possibility that The genius that Christ spoke never was spoken. I believe in things that existed and took place. I can't put my faith in mother goose.

As long as He's there
I can't put my faith in mother goose.
Well said; I can't either.
Now, Jesus is one thing I do believe existed. There's too much hustle and bustle about His birthday and such to deny that something went down about 2000 years ago that's still in effect today. Right now I'm studying this point on my own time, reading about accounts of a 'historical Jesus', who isn't that much different than the Biblical Jesus aside from a few less miracles. Jesus is the Son of God, so naturally His existence is more important to me than any other person depicted in the Bible. If He's real and authentic, then there must be a God who sent Him down. If that's the case, I can be certain there is a God who is infinitely righteous. That's all I need; who cares if some of the older stories are morality plays.

Well, that is a big assumption. Considering that the writer of the Gospel of Matthew didn't even get his facts for the geography of
Jerusalum right, and Luke plainly says he is writing down the stories
written by other people, that is an assumption that is contradicted by the gospels themselves.
