I edited the bite because I was tired of getting bit! I don't like the idea of humans as food! I am trying to get along with Rrhain. Lord give me strength! Help me to respect this guy.
As for you berberry, it is annoying to have you psychoanalyse me. And what about Jesus? Was He a "bisexual" who never acted on either sex? After all, He suffered EVERY affliction common to all people...so He may have known about being attracted to everyone. We can imagine, however, that Jesus never allowed the thoughts to remain in his mind. He loved God totally and never had time to get too attracted to any woman or man. Troy writes: Actually, you are asking this question to Jesus Christ. He would sleep beside you, but you would be unable or unwilling to act out in any fashion upon His body. He would fill your heart and soul with love and you would feel as if you were a child sleeping with his Daddy but nothing sexual would come of it...nor would there be any need. How about this. If I promise to you that I will become a devout christian IF you sleep with me, would you do it knowing you've just saved a soul? Troy---I'm not trying to preach to you. I am being quite serious.Think of it like one of your nephews wanting to sleep with you. They would only seek to cuddle and love you....as you would do with the Lord. And if it were me...(God would definitely have to set that one up)I snore and I would probably take all the covers. This message has been edited by Phatboy, 04-03-2005 07:04 AM

berberry writes: I mean't that it is an emotional need for you. Much like food. I am not suggesting that it is a curse. More like an itch that you need to scratch.
I object to the notion that homosexuality is an affliction. I hope that's not really what you meant.

And I am quite seriously insulted! Stop pushing this, Rrhain.
You may yet see the evil wrath of THIS conservative! For you claiming to be such a civilized guy, you have a very (edited) mind when it comes to sex. I don't think the way that you think and I do not choose to speculate. For want of a better explanation, your suggestions are annoying.Makes me want to smack you upside the head! I sure don't need my kids being taught about your suggestive alternative lifestyles! (and no,Berberry I'm not talking about "gays".I'm aiming directly at Rrhain on THIS one!) I appologize to everyone else EXCEPT Rrhain for my outburst. He wanted to get a rise out of me and he did! Now....IF WE CAN...please get back to the topic. The topic is NOT about sex!

Schraff writes: I was trying to steer the thread back to the original topic, which was whether religious conservatives are evil. Phat, what does one's political leanings (liberal or conservative) have to do with if one views homosexuality positively or negatively? Sorry if I let Mr. Rrhain get to me. {The blessing destroys the curse, so I cheerfully bless Mr. Rrhain for his right to be heard.) Can you please steer this back to a sane topic, Schraff? I am taking a breather from this one. Do me one more favor, if you can. Reread the past twenty or so posts and tell me if I was out of line. I would welcome some constructive criticism from you! One more thing: I know that this is an ADULT posting board, but in deference and respect to some of our younger or more sensitive members, I think that we should defer from graphic sexualdescriptions unless absolutely necessary. Please? It is one thing to be humerous and another thing to be tasteless. This message has been edited by Phatboy, 04-03-2005 08:12 AM

Thanks, Pink! I did get out of line a bit, and I would rather now just leave this topic alone and let others pick it up and carry it somewhere else! I like schraffs comment about boys in really silly outfits, however! I put the Popes picture in there to attempt to show Rrhain that I liked Holy guys better than hairy ones.
I am trying to be a non-evil conservative/moderate! (turning pink) Thanks for the food, Pink.We now return to our regularly scheduled topic. This message has been edited by Phatboy, 04-03-2005 08:08 AM

PK writes: While I can see the blatant hypocrisy in the current administration, are we labeling ALL right wingers as the same? Is the ideology of "Right Wing" synonomous with the blatant disregard for people with no money?
I simply feel they(my examples) point out the facetious nature of most right-wingers.

PK writes: Right-wing conservatives are against abortion ("pro-life") and are for the death penalty ("anti-life"). Personally, I am pro choice even though I think that abortions are taken too lightly...as if they were as routine as pulling a tooth. I am also for the death penalty in principle because some crimes are so horrendous as to warrant it..but I am opposed to legislation of morality so I guess that I am against the death penalty as well.

Rrhain writes: Because it costs too darn much to keep these people in prison for 70+ years! Society has enough expenses without spending it on lifetime incarceration(free public housing) It costs $100.00 a day minimum...times 365=$36,500.00 a year times seventy= two and a half million dollars not including medical care! Just zap em! a few cents worth of juice and less headache.(Thanks moose for the math edit)This does not take into consideration the trial which would cost upwards of one hundred thousand dollars. It isn't as if we are forced to administer the death penalty. There is imprisonment. What, therefore, is the possible justification for execution when we know that there will always be the chance that there is somebody who has been convicted but is actually innocent? Why skip to the end? This message has been edited by Phatboy, 04-11-2005 05:52 AM

contracycle writes: My response was tongue in cheek. Sort of "a modest proposal." This society spends too much on a lot more things than prisoners. War, for one. I DO protest when my education costs continue to go higher and when my insurance goes higher as well. In order to spend money more wisely, we need to find better ways to rehab young offenders besides jail so that they won't reoffend. We need to take care of our older population before we take care of prisoners. Of course, all of this could be done if we stopped spending 100 billion dollars a year trying to straighten up another country after thoroughly blowing them up!
Are we not the richest society that ever lived? Do we not produce more food every year than our species can consume? Do we not waste vast quantitites of wealth and productive power on mere entertinament, mere travel, mere toys? What price human life for the richest human beings who have ever walked the earth? You need to get your moral priorities right.

I missed this lesson in my Western Civ class. Were my teachers mere Capitalist tools??
I am a communist, and you are quite wrong: communism worked with relentless success for almost all of human history.

I always thought of the book of acts as socialism with a Christian
twist. I may give my private property over to the Messiah or His immediate Apostles, but I sure would never give it up to a bunch of revolutionaries who are as corrupt as my local grocery union! Heck, they always want to jack a brother once he gets anything in life...just so poor little Miss civil rights can have a position sitting on her butt while us guys have to throw freight! But enough of this rant....
