Why should religion get a free pass?

Many religions expect and get a free pass from their advocates. However that is not the case with Biblical fundamentalism which corroborates the Biblical record with actual archaeological, prophetical fulfillment, sociological, historical and other observational evidence such as complex design.The Book of Mormon/Mormonism, the Koran/Islam, Zen Buddism, RC Hierarchal Vaticanism, Shintoism, Hinduism etc are some examples coming to mind which expect and get a free pass from their adherents.It is true, however, that as with other hypotheses and theory, non-empirical and debatable aspects of Biblical fundamentalism exist.

The evidences involve numerous topics. There are threads in the archives relative to much of this. Of course, as in most POVs the interpretation of the evidences is debatable.I've cited numerous fulfilled Biblical prophesies, archeological stuff such as the Exodus Video, socialogical aspects and debates on ID relative to the Biblical record etc.The Biblical Record is unique to the other faiths which I've cited in that it records specifics relative to prophecy, archeology, ID, creation, etc. Though it is significantly philosophical, most of these other religions are pretty much totally philosophical, especially the Eastern religions as well as voodoo, witchcraft and other paganistic tribal religions.

Here at EvC nobody gets free passes, especially POVs which involve the supernatural/religion. If we get into the threads we must earn that priviledge with substance deemed acceptable by admins as appropriately debatable. I'm not complaining about that.I'm objecting to the notion here that free passes are extended to religious creationists.

Hi Atatty. Welcome to EvC. I'm not apprised enought on the content of the links to offer an opinion. However, likely science will come to realization that there are higher intelligences, beings and forces in the universe than we wee ones are aware of on this tiny speck we call planet earth. Some of the aspects of particles, dark matter and other mysteries may relate to sciences which are emerging into significance.
