Ask them. Most will say they are forced by either their husbands or peer groups. Those who try to escape are part of the 5,000 or so yearly Honor killings. RegardsDL

Thanks for the reminder and pardon my tardiness. I am working on something that speak of Muslim honor. I am not quite done with it but I will put it here for your perusal. I might just leave it as is to KIS but hope you will opine on it. RegardsDL --------- Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women? Pickthall4:34"Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other," . Every moral legal system I know of in the West and most of the non- Islamic world begins with equality for all. Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women? Check the value of a Muslim woman, according to some Muslim men, at the 8 min. mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbTATkLntBU RegardsDL Edited by Greatest I am, : No reason given. Please listen to the link in the post just above as it shows a woman saying that we are sweeping the oppression of women under the rug by ignoring male misogyny against women. Let me also say that I think it will be a wake up call to Muslim men who have a decent set of morals. If there are enough of those, the religion will improve greatly. If there are not enough of those, then at least free people will not have to tolerate emblems of misogyny and slavery to be paraded in our free societies. RegardsDL

Not if you are one of the women. Then you would just hope for success. RegardsDL

Then the oppressed would hear you cheering for the oppressors twice as much. How nice for you. RegardsDL

Exactly my point. So should Muslim women have the right to not wear what they do not want. Whose right should be enforced? Should we consider the oppressed less than the free? RegardsDL

I cannot do much for private abuses but can certainly do something to change the attitudes of Muslim men in public. It sure beats doing what you want. Nothing for women. Just let the oppression ride. "First they came for the Jews, but I did nothing because I'm not a Jew. Then they came for the socialists, but I did nothing because I'm not a socialist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I did nothing because I'm not a Catholic. Finally, they came for me, but by then there was no one left to help me." — Pastor Father Niemoller (1946) RegardsDL RegardsDL

"Consider you wish granted because you know what? They arleady have the right to wear it (niqab, hijab, burka) or not. It's their choice." Was it the choice of these girls? 2002 Mecca girls' school fire - Wikipedia Repeat your statement and show us all how well you can think. RegardsDL

"They would hear me cheering twice as loud for their right to decide for themselves." 2002 Mecca girls' school fire - Wikipedia Did these girls decide to die by themselves? Or did their masters force them to do so? RegardsDL

The ban does work. The places in the world that have a burqa ban Quartz So that feeling you wanted us to ignore is available to us. Do not fear doing the right thing. I know that some women will be negatively effected but they are few as compared to those whose husbands get the message that in Canada, we do not own our wives and daughters. If those few that are offended cannot see that they are helping free their sisters, then they are just showing how immoral their religion has made them. What is more important to you? Protecting the culture of female oppression and ownership by men or the Canadian culture of freedom for women from ownership of men? RegardsDL
