Re: Increase
NosyNed
Just a thought Ned but perhaps we could also ask him that since there are 10 times more cells in his body that are not part of his human cellular structure do they count in determining the complexity of his body? Since without these other cells he most certainly could not exist do we have a clear view of where the line should be drawn for complexity?

No plan. No direction.
So you do not consider single-cell to human or dinosaur or dog, a movement in any direction?
The arrival at human dinosaur or dog is undirected. Chance occurences to underlying genetics that are a result of natural forces under the pressure of competing forms of life for limited resources results in the success or failure of the continuation of a species.Dinosaurs spanned a 100,000,000 years! We humans and our pets now reside on this planet for as long as we are able to face the challeges and beat the odds.Go through any generation of people on the planet and you will find those whose lineage ceases in your lifetime and all their subsequent generations are less than stillborn.
The apparent direction is an artifact of hindsight since something had to win the race so to speak. It could just as easily have been ourselves at the dead end of evolution. It could just as easily happen in the future.Arrogance is a feature peculiar to human beings and it could very well be that which snuffs us out before we get our species in line enough to learn the error of thinking that superiority in brains and ability to manipulate are assurances of remaining in our lofty position.
Nature is particularly nasty to arrogant and inattentive creatures.

You see a book lying on a table. You know there's a force due to gravity acting on that book. If you take that force (on the book and due to gravity) as the "action," what then is the "reaction" as required by Newton's third law?

BTW Knowledge Management is a multi billion dollar a year industry. They may be surprised to hear that the subject is nonsense.
Well astrology is nonsense and it too is a multi-billion dollar a year industry. So is homeopathy. no one ever became poor underestimating the gullibility of the public.
