There's lots of evidence from Kenya that he was born there but the fact that his own literary agent described him in 1991 as born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii is very good evidence too:
Well, I guess there's no stronger bond than that between a man and his literary agent. So naturally the agent would have been present at little Obama's birth ... somewhere in Kenya. Like all literary agents, he spends a lot of time hanging round African maternity wards looking for potential talent. Don't be silly. Where would his agent get such information except from Obama himself or biographical material Obama or the university supplied?

I put up videos in Message 1345. There may be better ones out there. You Tube has a lot. Note that in the first video the news announcer casually calls the Kenya village Obama's "home village."

Well I find them to be sincere and credible and concerned with the truth.
If there is no challenge to his qualifications for the Presidency the truth in this case is just a trivial misunderstanding.
No, it isn't that. Rather, it is very deliberate misinformation created by conservative ideologues in order to mislead low information voters such as yourself (assuming that you vote). It is a deliberate and willful "bearing of false witness" by people who claim to be Christian. "If there is no challenge to his qualifications for the Presidency?" But again if there isn't, then that is easily answered, but that hasn't been the answer.

Sure, I know about the disclaimer. Not at all convincing except to someone who desperately wants to be convinced. A "mistake" in a blurb advertising a book by Obama that neither he nor anyone else caught until 2007? How does anyone even MAKE such a mistake in the first place? All his official documents at the University should say Hawaii as his birth place if it really was. Was "Kenya" just a typo, and that whole statement about being born there and growing up in Indonesia and Hawaii? There's no way to call that a mistake. That was official information they could only get from Obama or those official documents.

Since Obama says he was born in Hawaii, he was evidently not the source of this "information According to one of the videos I posted he has said both at different times.

Which official documents? Did Miriam Goderich fly to Kenya and find his Secret Real Birth Certificate? If so, why is she keeping quiet about it? HARVARD OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS. THIS WAS A HARVARD PUBLICATION Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

He's identified as the editor of the Harvard Law Review on the same page that the bio is given about birth in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.
My mistake is trivial, but that statement is just way too precise to be a mistake. But I know now much you need to believe it and I really don't care. Lie all you want.

Uh huh. And there's no problem explaining any of it. We have a "mistake" made in publishing an awfully precise sounding bio, none of which is true; we have a "mistranslation" of a word used by Obama's grandmother who is misunderstood to be saying he was born in that village when she was really only being poetic and metaphorically calling him a "son of" the village; and we also have a "slip of the tongue" by Obama himself who said he was born in Kenya but of course didn't really mean to say that. I haven't looked that one up but remember something of the sort occurring. And we have a birth certificate with some very strange typographical anomalies. Also haven't looked this one up but I think I spent some time on it a few years ago. And even I could figure out how to fake a birth announcement on a copy of such a page in a newspaper, given a variety of available copying methods.
But OK, nothing here to look at, just move on folks.

Oh I did spend some time on it a few years ago and thought the evidence for birth in Kenya quite convincing but then dropped it as too futile in the face of all the aggressive opposition to it, but mostly just stopped caring. Then forgot most of the arguments.

I'm tired of arguing this. My mistakes are trivial and traceable to identifiable sources. The comparison is ludicrous with the kind of "mistakes" you are trying to rationalize away.

I guess you can think his grandmother was speaking metaphorically of an honorary status or you can believe the narrator who claims she was speaking literally of his actual birth.
The mailman didn't "call" Obama a foreigner, he said Mary Ayers called him a "foreign student" they were helping through Harvard. And that's just too specific and important a piece of information for a publishing company to allow to stand in an advertisement for a publication they are planning. But OK, there's enough ambiguity to be inconclusive.

So your understanding is that even if he was born in Kenya he's qualified for the Presidency. Fine with me. There's more evidence at You Tube that that's where he was born, such as Obama himself saying that's where he's from, and Michelle calling Kenya his "home country," and a phone call from a Bishop McRae to the Obama household in Kenya in which the grandmother says yes she was present at his birth.
Here, I went and found them: Obama saying he's from Kenya.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQcd41RO25k ABE: YES OF COURSE IT OCCURRED TO ME IT COULD HAVE BEEN FAKED, AND I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE. BUT I JUST LISTENED TO IT THREE TIMES AND THERE IS NO POINT WHERE THE CONTINUITY OF THE SPEECH IS INTERRUPTED./ABE Michelle Obama mentions Kenya is Barack's "home country:"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLGItF-Y8Uc Phone call: Grandmother says she was present at his birth (at the very end )https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlFc4wCpvSo Edited by Faith, : No reason given.
