Sister Pinky, Lol. Pinky and Shyangel - cute names, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately there is a steryotype here because you have to either be categorized as creationist or evolutionist. You'll notice that when people are banned from the forum, it is stated that the person was creationist or evolutionist.And so that is almost what we become, even if we are not firstly a creationist. I am not firstly a creationist, I am firstly a believer or Christian.
I do not try to prove God with wordly knowledge. I do however believe that if you want to find evidence of a Creator you will, and if you don't you won't. For example, some people would see evolution as a chance process, which proves there is no G-d, and some people would see it as a glorious addition to the wonderment of the Creator, I fight the former person, who - though his/her existence is not relevant to the Theory of Evolution (ToE) seems to be the enemy of my faith.I believe there is evidence of this created planet, and that it was made by G-d, however evolution and science is not on the top of my list, infact Theology/Philosophy and faith and belief, are mostly what I seek to talk about. Thanks Sister Pinky, usually people don't get my humor as it doesn't survive the trip across the ocean. One thing though, do you believe then, in evolution or creation or doesn't it bother you much?
How about the Old Testament - do you believe in it literally?It's fantastic that you provide me with this scripture, I read it and it was significant to my situation in my life, (that part I read) - but I couldn't remember it.....and now you unwittingly provide chapter and verse. - thanks. It seems that the spirit does searcheth all things.

I know there are no coincidences, thanks for the encouragement my dear pinky partaker of the faith. Also (Schraff) - Why do you think if we believe in the bible we automatically reject or hate science? I believe in matter like anybody else, I'm also pretty agreed when it comes to the Periodic Table etc. We don't reject hard fought efforts of men/women of science immediately because of our bible. BTW - I agree we breathe in oxygen.

Hi Schraff,Whether we take it literally or not, the bible itself doesn't really include science as it is not a book about science, if anything it might show unscientific things like supernatural wonders from God, healing of illnesses, parting of seas etc. Science would probably disagree with such things but that is why you do not have to take it with a scientific lump or two, it is about belief. Especially the New Testament.There are many things in science I agree with, many many facts. When I go the doctors I will trust what my doctor tells me as I know she has a basis of good logical science. There are very few things that we dispute scientifically. Pinky might not believe in evolution, but that's only one science isn't it? What in the Jewish bible, is so against science to you anyway?
