What a serpent!
Arachnophilia said, "Water, on the other hand, is primordial chaos in the text. it's unexplored and dangerous, and the substance of creation. one of the sea creatures in genesis that *IS* mentioned are the tanniyn: dragons. the ocean is associated with these great water serpents, such as the leviathan. there's also hints to mythology of el conquering these serpents. (see psalm 74. something similar appears in ugaritic myths)"
Yet I still wonder about the modern-day location of the great leviathan that Jesus talked about in the gospels, that in Job 41 (My favorite chapter in the Bible) God rants and raves about(???) to his downtrodden servant Job. The great Leviathan was not just a figmentation of our imagination (if divinity could mention it, then we need to, also). However, this does not excuse the sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, which, if you didn't think of as the Leviathan's descendent, would seem a complacent dinosaur. Also, this accounts for many dinosaur fossils besides the Gen. 6 Theory.

I love pepperoni pizzas, and I don't eat pepperoni. It's unclean meat.

Right On
Absolutely. And for those who love pepperoni and Pork chops, boy, you've got something coming to you at the second advent.

Shrimp are abominable
Shrimp is an abomination, but it would we downright idiotic if we kiled them off. you see, shrimp belong to a "class" (can't believe I'm writing this) of animals called "scavengers." God made scavengers after the fall to eat the dead, rotting flesh of animals and vegetation to no further pollute and desecrate the earth. If you took a bomb (let's not debate about my means, here - it's the thought that counts) and killed all the shrimp on God's green earth, then our ecosystems and our lives would be out of balance.
And that's another reason not to eat shrimp.

Post-Fall
And where can I find that biblical proof? Please educate me.
And besides, didn't I say:
...let's not debate...
Now, someone said:
plus. all animals consume living things. how can you say there was no death before the fall.
hi um plants are alive.
Good point. Maybe I'll rethink the post-antediluvian creationalism-NOT!!! Didn't GOd create rainbows the say after the flood?
Coragyps also said:
Oh? There sure are a bunch of shrimps that are carnivores.
Heaven no. The only shrimp that are carnivoruos are shrimp that eat plankton. And if I'm right, Shrimp eat phytoplankton which are infected with pollutants and infested with tinier marine animals and worms. The same is true with the pig. Scavengers may be scavengers without meaning to be. The lobster and catfish would tell you the same, and no "I'm hellbound" person will be saved.(Trust me)
Isn't that scary, evos.

Shrimp may be an abomination, but they sure are tasty on the grill with butter and garlic sauce.
Pass the abomination please?
HEATHEN! STRAIGHT TO HELL WITH YOU!!!
(can i have some too?)
Hahaha. You're Funny.
Well, If I can't have what I want, then I'll debate for it.
And besides, didn't I say:...let's not debate...
hi. welcome to a DEBATE board. we debate anything and everything here, and this *IS* the correct thread for it, in the correct forum.
now, i disagree with the fall theologically. there is no evidence of any "fall" of any kind, only a set of curses given to adam, eve, and the serpent, that are presumably heriditary (all snakes go about on their bellies).
Now, I know you disagreee with the "fall" idea, but you must understand that when I say "fall", I don't mean that Adam and Eve were immortal and became mortal beings. I mean the connection wit hGod was severed so wickedly that face-to-face contact was voided, for it would destroy us sinful beings.
And to clarify some things:shrimp were not created after the fall. They became a delicacy (gulp!) after the fall.

Re: Post-Fall
Thank you very much for correcting me. My apologies on the length of time it took for me to return your messages. Please forgive me, and do not hold a grudge. Now, I see you you have done your research well. Let me reiterate what I was trying to say, OK? There has been some confusion as to what I have been trying ot state when I began to talk about shrimp. Some say I was talking after the flood completely. If that was so, then we have no evidence forthwith. THe fossilized remnants of ancient shrimp in sediment attest to this. However, I am no longer confining my definition to scavenging the dead. I must also include that many animals and fungi are scavenging the earth. I ahve a website based on it. Those who wish to examine the site must PM me.
