I'm not going to get into too much here, as OT prophesy isn't my strong point. I just wanted to quibble with a small issue with your discussion of Alexander the Great and prophesy in Daniel:
Of course that is just what happened, Greece's great horn, Alexander the great, died suddenly and four of his generals each took control of part of Greece's area of control and created four kingdoms. Daniel then goes on to describe what history records as what happened to those kingdoms.
First off, Alexander wasn't Greek, he was Macedonian, and after his death his half brother and his son were named co-regents for several years. After their deaths, it was FIVE of Alexander's generals that divided up his empire...
Ptolemy - Egypt and Palestine
Nicator - Mesopotamia and Syria
Cassander - Macedon and Greece
Antigonus - Asia Minor
Lysimachus - Thrace
Yes, I'm probably being a bit nit picky...but its been a long day and I don't care.
Also IF Daniel is Maccabean in time, than this supposed prophesy concerning Alexander is well after the fact also, seeing as he died in 323bce (but like I said early, the facts don't fit anyway)
