The basic idea in a nutshell is that electronics experts are designing circuits that are better and more efficient using random mutation and natural selection, the mechanisms of evolution. This shows that great complexity can arise through these processes. Many of these circuits have been patented, which clearly demonstrates their utility.
The process works. If evolution can design circuits, why can't it design living things?
