Why not? You said yourself, "Nothing different about them."
Don't pull that out of context. It was meant as in my conversational needs.
Same reason I don't assume that you want money from me. Same reason I don't assume that children want money.
Ok. But have to admit that is a pretty safe assumtion that a homeless person would want money.
So do I. I don't have to "warm up" to somebody to talk to them.
I do. Example: Started a new job. I would only talk about things that needed to be talked about until about a week of doing that then I start opening up more.
I live in a small city (200,000). There's no such thing as "knowing" I'll never see somebody again. Chances are, it'll be my cousin's neighbour's hairdresser's brother - and I'll run into him at a wedding or something.
I live in a city of that size as well. Well no there is no way of "knowing" but I "know" I will see co-workers and regulars at the bar I work at. That is the difference.
Topic: I feel sorry for you.
I am very happy with who I am, no need to feel sorry for me. Everyone lives a different life. I happen to be happy with mine.

Re: If you want to feel you were criticized then OKAY!
Again if it isn't any better why even bother with the descriptive? More effecient to leave it out along with your "missed out" and "too bad".
Why? Does robin want us to be honest or just to reinforce his position? Does he want us to be PC?
What do you prefer?

I don't want to make trouble since you have a picture of Lee Van Cleef as your Avatar, but this is too much for me to bear.
Some of us are not, through personal experience, genetics, or a combination of the two, "outgoing" in our personalities. Though I disagree with Neurocycle in that I am interested in conversing with the people he mentioned, I am personally not comfortable enough to initiate these conversations most of the time. I do not feel this is a pityable trait. I find doing so strains my mental faculties in a way I don't enjoy.

Ask Robin that.
I don't have a preference to any of his opinions/thoughts/ideals.

Still waiting on that one.

Very un-PC of you, DocPotato. Obviously you have an unhealthy mentality and will need to be trained to be more inclusive with all sorts of people--not just YOUR TYPE. You are too tribal. However, if I pity you, I will be dehumanizing you, and therefore I will not pity you.

You don't pay attention either?
I didn't initiate the conversation. I walk past a hundred people every day without talking to them. When somebody admires my shirt, I have an oppurtunity to continue the conversation.
My point was that I didn't see those people as "different", uninteresting, pitiable, etc.
I do not feel this is a pityable trait.
I see it as just as pitiable as mental illness, poverty, etc. Poverty of spirit, as it were.
Kindly allow me to choose whom I pity.

Pity.
Maybe your mental faculties need more exercise.

I know you're being sarcastic but I'm not really sure what you're being sarcastic about. I don't think anything I said relates to the topic of what you're joking about. This just kinda reeks of you smashing sour grapes into the forum. This will not do.

As if I could do otherwise! I'm merely expressing a disagreement.
And maybe I'm just big-boned in the brain.

No worries. It's just unfortunate that you have not earned my favor and, as such, my endless loyalty and a chance to be around my exemplary moral character.
