Jim, since you have basically come right out in post 199 and 200 and said that you are not going to produce any evidence for us to debate, I see no reason to keep this thread open. I will leave it open for one more hour for people to get in a quick summary. Any issues with my closing the thread will be discussed in the suggestions forum and not here. The suggestions forum will discuss the closing issue, not the exodus video. Whata heck is the big rush to close this thread about? Jim's only one of us. We got our other one cropped and now there's this apparant desire to shut this one down. Why? Why don't you treat it like other threads and let it die off itself as traffic wanes?

Science is following the scientific method. Collecting material is not science. How you collect material may be, but again, only if you follow the established methods. So, yes, there is very little if any verifiable science in his book. Following whose established method? There are many, depending on what you are studying, where you are, what you have to work with and so forth. Get your dictionary out and argue with it. Mine says science is "knowledge derived from observation, study, and experimentation carried on in order to determine the nature or principles of what is being studied." According to this definition, experimentation or lab is just as I said, only one aspect of science. Btw, have you read the book?

Slight of hand and misdirection once again. Let's stick to what you folk call evidence. Pick one of the items and try to show us why it should be considered. I've been trying to get one of the supporters to discuss the rock paintings. Would you feel like you could defend those or is there one of the other subjects you believe is defensible? I had a "fatal error" on my screen when I posted my last post and thought I lost it. I redid it but see the other one took, so editing out post here.

NO, you in particular could not. I wondered when our brilliant prof would show up to contribute his expertise in sarcasm. I knew it was about that time. Hi, prof. I think I heard you mother calling again.

My father was killed in an industrial accident in 1963, 8 months before I was born - my mother was killed in an auto accident when she was 8 months pregnant with me - I was born by emergency caeserean. No brothers, no sisters no nothing. Never really missed it because I never knew anything different.

quote: Waterflow evidence is not unique to boulders split in twain. I suspect you’re not taking into account water freezing and refreezing. Water seeps into a rock, freezes, swells, and enlarges the crack. The process repeats enough and the rock eventually splits. As each freeze melts, you get exactly the type of markings you point to as being unique. This message has been edited by Trae, 08-09-2004 04:56 AM
