Teen4Christ. Actually, the thought of a state sponsored internet access in certain insane asylums to stimulate certain communication skills did cross my mind for a few seconds. This brought to mind a recent news story about a coroner in Toronto who presented "expert" testimony at many trials. His testimony led directly to the conviction of several individuals.
There must be thousands of defense lawyers who wish judges and juries believed as you do. Think of all money the government can save if they don't bother with forensic investigations. He is now admitting that he lacked any of the proper training and education to be an "expert". It's made a bit of a mess. Does it not cause you to wonder who you can trust?

Ah, yes, thank you. In internet term, it is someone that intentionally post messages that are volatile in nature to attain strong reactions from members within the internet community. Basically, it's someone that gets a kick out of driving people crazy. Seems I've stumbled into their natural habitat. Are these critters dangerous?

Let me know when you are interested in discussing things thoughtfully and seriously. This has always been the case. Why don't we try to start over. Now I admit that commin out of the gate I may not have been all kind and gentle so I'll try and to soften it up a bit. The thing is, it just ain't a soft question that I ask. If you recall, when we first met, You were discussing with Riverrat the fact that you have difficulty understanding him. You were contending that due to the fact that you had some education in the area of reading comprehension The problem must be that he didn't write clearly. Sound true so far? See, I have not had any trouble understanding Riverrat. I surely do not agree with everything he has to say, but understanding just ain't an issue. Now, I have no formal education so...... Is it possible, even a little, that you don't really care to understand Riverrat, or even me for that matter.

Taz, sorry. I missed this with all that shoutin goin on. To Hill Billy, how is what Paul wrote any different from "STHU in church" aside from the wordings? Teen4Christ says.
I don't see anything there that would drastically change the fact that women are not allowed to speak in church and that it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church. So I proceeded to explain.
Now when a person can't see stuff it can help to take a step back. Or look closer. For example, when I read the above statement I see that we are exactly two words away from agreement. Two. If you will indulge me I will slightly alter your statement and make it (in my opinion) perfectly agreeable.

There, now we're gettin somewhere. Look at this, They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, More closely. as the Law says. Now,as far as I know,there ain't no law round these parts that says anything at all about womenfolk speakin in church. So to me, that passage says, specifically, that women can in fact speak in church provided it is legal to do so. So you be carefull out there and don't you be lettin that big city education make you feel better than other folks. So, Am I being clear? Teen4Christ, Ican't. Any comments?

I think it is perfectly clear. Paul was talking about speaking in tongues and prophesying. I get this. I understand your thinking. So, that's three different opinions of exactly what that scripture says. Taz thinks it means STHU in church. You think speaking in tongues is the issue at hand. (which I never thought of by the way.) Then I think it's a legal issue.... Ain't no law. Funny Now here's something else I found interesting. The passage is not just about speakin in tongues and such, so much as it is about what other folks think about what your sayin and doin. Isn't it? Which, as anyone who is followin along would see, is what this thread is about. By the way, I'm no troll. It's just that there's some folks here that I would like to come to some sort of agreement with. An understanding, if you will. Now you might think I have a strange way of goin about it, tryin to get an agreement that is, and I'm sure you'd be right, but I don't want folks thinkin that just cause I wanna agree means I'm gonna swallow any bull. Well, the moral seems to be that actual experts who do have the proper training and education are superior in expertise to people who aren't and who don't. Yes, I suppose. It seems that judges and juries believed this fellow had " expertise." I believe I read somewhere that your field is mathematics. Hope I got that right. Now, you know exactly what qualifications you possess, thats clear, but how do I. Know that is. My question is: How do YOU know who to trust? Cause, don't forget what Nator said: The only thing any of us have to go on here is what we read, you know.

Ok.......The TOPIC
There is a certain individual who frequents these boards who uses what I'm pretty sure is a REGISTERED TRADEMARK on his avatar. ( Taz? ) Now, unless this individual is in possession of a license to use this trademark he is in direct violation of the LAW. (I think the host may be as well.) Now that is TWO examples of this type of behavior from this individual in one week. Does this not indicate that this individual feels, ABOVE the LAW, THEREFORE, superior ? No?

Within the next 12 hours please supply at least 3 examples of posts of yours that have contributed to a discussion in a meaningful way. I would be happy to, but before I do, it might be wise for me to find out exactly what "meaningful" means to you. See, I'd suspect that plenty of folks here find what I have to say quite meaningful. I don't deny that many folks here will not LIKE what I have to say. That would seem to include yourself. The point I'm making, ( quite clearly I thought,) is that: For effective communication to occur there must be an interest in communicating. If all you got is a bunch of folks shoutin at each other you ain't gonna get much done. Now some may contend that I'm the one doin all the shoutin and to them I'd say: Please go back and read it all again, dispassionately. PLEASE! Seems I've only got 12 hours!
