Why tunnel? Why light? Is this phenomenon restricted to Christians, or is everyone subject to it regardless of religious inclinations? Can you give a full explanation for why you believe this phenomenon is restricted to a spiritual explanation, or do you believe that science can explain this phenomenon as well (if not better)?
Why tunnel? -A passage to the other world-why light? God is thre true light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Heaven is full of light. Who has the experience? People all over the world, regardless of belief. Full explaination? Not really, seems to me it's just leaving the physical universe-to meet the 'being of light' God, or one of His angels (as well as loved ones who almost always show up to greet us)
quote:
Religion assumes truth while science rejects falsehood.
Science may reject falsehood, but sometimes when it is based on falsehood, (like evolution) it wouldn't recognize the truth if it slapped it in the head!

OK I won't base the age of the stars on the present speed of the type of light found in the physical universe. Relax.

heaven's computers

You durn sure need to stop using that computer, or the telephone or TV. They are "founded" on that speed.
Not the computers in Heaven!! You have no idea how fast those babies can go! Same with the communication there, or the 3d spheres that would take the place of tv there! Meanwhile, while here, I'll just have to settle for what we got!

Re: re merging
Well, what about UFO's? These things (which I believe are fallen angels) appear and disappear in the visible spectrum, hover, accelerate almost instantaneously and then make acute angle turns at very high speeds. This points me to the fact that they are utilizing other dimensions. Such accelerations would rip apart any physical thing in our known dimensions. And things in our known dimensions do not just disappear. If things operating in the spiritual dimensions are not bound by our physical dimensions, then it is certainly possible that "spiritual" light could travel at a different speed.
Whether you want to call it a spiritual universe or a multidimensional physical universe, I know there is a whole lot more going on around us than what we can perceive.

UFO's are NOT the topic.
Stick to one thing. Thank you.

Just plain silly
I think this has turned into the silliest thread I have ever seen on this board, even sillier than some of the intended humourous threads. The opening premise was absurd and it has gone downhill from there. Maybe creationists are such a rarity that we have to pamper them by letting them sprout any sort of made-up nonsense so that they don't spit the dummy and leave?
I suggest the thread be killed off before it becomes even more embarrassing.

Pampering, LOL. I think your right WJ. The premise is totally unfounded biblically or scientific. UFOs, spiritual light, demons. YEC making shit up. Whats next?

Just plain ugly
I know this was not posted to me, but it made assertions. Biblically, there is good reasons for the possibility of what I think. And that the spiritual and physical will come together in a new heaven and earth is pretty plain. Also that God, and spirits can go much faster than our light, is a fact. To say it is 'totally unfounded biblically' is a lie.
"UFOs, spiritual light, demons. YEC making shit up. Whats next? "
Young earthers don't make up UFOs! We all know that is a non religious worldwide thing. Spiritual light? Yes, a fact. (unless you don't believe in the spiritual at all) demons? Not a yec phenomena either. So then. swearing, and lying is ok with the guidelines here? Your contempt is open, and a disgrace.

For all we know, UFOs could be real spaceships that belong to aliens. We just don't have enough info on it right now to make a valid theory on the matter.
Another thing is that there are many many fairy tales out there that were not made up by young earthers (specifically christian fundies). That doesn't mean squat as far as trying to make your assertions any more valid than the existence of doppelgangers.

Nevertheless they are one example of things super natural.

True. Many were not made up by big bangers either.
Nevertheless the present light here, and it's speed is not the be all end all! It does not negate a spiritual plane around us. It's speeds are not of a limiting concern to God, or spirits, or any spiritual universe. Their time constraints do not apply everywhere.

Re: lazy, crazy speed of light
So if you make something up, and SAY it's in the Bible - even though it isn't - THAT'S a solid foundation.
Next you'll be calling people biased if they prefer to base their beliefs on the evidence rather than your fantasies.

Nonsense. Can you give me something I say is in the bible that is not? No, you can't, so why flap your jaws?

Ah yes, evidence. Long as you don't do like professor poopfossil, who says that the rock must be a certain age because professor fossilbones says the fossil in the rock was very old. And of course prof. fossilbones knows the fossil is very old, because prof. poopfossil says the rock is very old. Evidence that light travels at a certain speed? fine. Some 'evidence' is good, others is not. Godless speculation is not evidence. Let's not make it sound like you have some evidence to suggest there is no spirit world, or spirit light! You don't, cause there is!

in post 1, arkie writes:
One possibility I have been considering is that there was a seperation somewhere around creation time, of the physical and spiritual universes. Before the seperation, the 'light' would have travelled without the limit of our physical universe limitations. The result would have been that it would have taken the spiritual light virtually no time hardly at all to get to the great distances that the stars are away! Only after our universe was seperated would our physical light take great time to get places. Does anyone have any good reason why this may not have been so?
