Despite the substitute to consensus science still a bit contrived or manufactured , since attempts to "beef it up" during the 70s, I find RUSE'S "2+2=4" to be artifically selected whether manufacturable or not and becausethe disgreement is on so simple a level I hit this flashed flask like a ton of bricks but still keep on going.
SeeKansas Schools in the News | The Institute for Creation Research When is 2/3 of the aggregate demand for good eduction NOT equal to 4 made from 2 recursed on itself a time or so. I dont know and I dont understand why Ruse insists on the fingered solute and salute unless he is stuck in Lewontin's TRIPLE HELIX. No tie here. I am with the 2/3 if the manufacture is actually the other way around.

In fact, the vast majority of research by evolutionists is not research to validate ToE since they assume it as a given, but they research various areas and apply the ToE assumption to the research. If the ToE was wrong their research wouldn't even WORK!! By admitting that scientists can assume the ToE is true and then build on top of it to do successful research you are ADMITTING that the ToE is functionally right. Wow, it's funny when people don't realize they are arguing against themselves

It's refreshing to hear an evolutionist just come out with it and be honest instead of pretending that overtly creationist articles could be accepted instead of dismissed a priori out of hand. Well, let's include faith healing in a medical journal..... Or even better... Let's include the mountain of evidence falsifying much of the bible in religious journals.... or would those be rejected out of hand?

I have actually never met anyone who fervantly feels a relational connection with pink unicorns, magic fairies or flying monsters of any chef! I have read about such people in psychological writings, but there are not too many around. You honestly have not actually prayed with or met any fervant Christians who fervantly knew that they had a relational connection with God? We both need to get out more! There was also someone who though lennon was the anti-christ.... and how about the ufo cult that all commited suicide... im sure there are many more... It's funny, but this relates to the OP showing that the majority is not always right or even halfway intelligent. This message has been edited by Mini_Ditka, 12-30-2005 06:50 PM

quote: I have met many people who believe that there is truth in Astrology (let's not forget that Nancy Reagan was a believer), or that aliens have abducted people, or that ghosts exist like they do in the movies. ...and there have been others who believe that demons possess people, or that some supernatural spirit fills them when they pray hard enough. I don't see much difference.

Oops, edit to change ...I thought you referred to Michael Ruse. Yea, the whole claim of evolution is as true as 2 plus 2 equals 4 shows how far removed the minds of evolutionists are from real science. It's a shame, but they are not educating people, but indoctrinating them.

It works just the same if you assume ID, creationism or just about anything. In fact, belief in ToE claims has caused harm medically as organs there were not vestigal were claimed as vestigal and useless.

In fact, belief in ToE claims has caused harm medically as organs there were not vestigal were claimed as vestigal and useless. Let's try to guess at numbers, shall we? How many people were harmed by the removal of these vestigal organs (btw - which organs are you talking about)? Now let's compare that to people the number of Christian Scientists who died from simply infections and diarrea simply because they fail to pray hard enough. Then let's compare that to people cast out of their societies for becoming ill - since clearly God doesn't favor them.

Something I learned here is the real definition of vestigial. RM was told that but forgot it again I suspect.
That is important to clear up. He was told that vestigial does not mean useless. Though it doesn't necessarily mean useful either.

I don't believe that statistic at all.
Anyone I know at least at my school believes that evolution is a fact of life. statistics and polls are garbage But I think that many philosophies about life should be taught in school. Science is not really philosophy, but then again it crosses over sometimes with issues like these. In my AP Bio class, we discuss it sometimes. It's cool, everyone likes to hear about stuff like this. If asked I bring up why I don't think evolution occured using reason, not the bible. ID isn't as religious sometimes as one could think. But I sort of agree with you. This message has been edited by prophex, 01-01-2006 12:56 AM "The old man cries in the sorrow of eternity." Van Gogh

Rand is right, vestigal organs and bones make me comfortable.
Someone told me that the tail-bone is vestigal. My bio teacher said that if we didn't have it, life would suck. Sitting and stuff. It is also largely used to prove that we have ascended from tail-having organisms. I don't buy that really. "The old man cries in the sorrow of eternity." Van Gogh

Yeah people hate what they haven't seen yet I guess, maybe, I dunno, that's mean. Lots of people that are smart, tell me that religion is the root of all evil. That's stoopid but off-topic. Nuggin does this alot though. Crash. Brian too. Smart I guess, but they hate religion, it's a wierd phenomenon. phenomenononemeon

ID isn't as religious sometimes as one could think. Are you suggesting here that the Intelligent Designer is a force other than the Jewish God? Alien life form maybe? If so, then you are right, ID doesn't have to rely on religion. Good luck getting the ID supporters to back you on a ciriculum of ET planet seeding.

Smart I guess, but they hate religion, it's a wierd phenomenon. Wow, do you have it wrong. I do not hate religion. I fully support religion - I think it's a vital part of human social structure. I think that any attempt to stamp out religion is doomed to failure. What I do hate is people who want their religion, and only their religion, to be treated as if it were special. No one religion is better than any other. The Jews are not better than the Muslims. The Baptists are not better than the Hindus. So long as you are not doing harm to others, feel free to worship in any way you like. My problem with fundies/YECs/IDers is that want to be treated special. They want their religious beliefs to be given priority over everyone elses. I have no problem with Creationism being taught in schools. Even in the science class - IF equal time is given to all religions. That means the Catholics get just as much time as the Scientologists, the Hindus, the Zoroastrians and the Universal Life Church (of which I am an ordained minister).
