In post Message 75, Adminbuz chastises Jazzns for stating a belief that he feels is insulting. I don't see how this post is insulting. In the quoted passage some very important parts were left out. Jazzns bolded the word stereotypical...

The topic of the thread is "Has EvC changed your beliefs?" Jazzns is stating his viewpoint. He differentiates between all fundamentalists and those stereotypical ones that show the views he is critiquingIf you don't feel that you show you are spiritually, emotionally, or intellectually bankrupt then what do YOU have to be upset about? If you don't feel that you espouse hate and racism what is there to feel insulted about.This is much better than when certain Christian members tell other members that they "aren't real Christians" or when members come on and tell everyone that they are going to hell.

I have said as much in the past.You may be a very nice person with whom I could get along with great outside this forum. I don't hate you. I DO find your position on many topics to be disgusting. This is also true for one of my best friends who shares a lot of your ideas about theology and creationism. We often fight often very intensly about the same issues that go on here but then afterward there is no problem in sitting down with a soda and watching a movie together.My post was about the stereotypical fundamentalist position which includes what I have garnered and combined from the people here, Kent Hovind, the Dover Board of Education, the Kansas Board of Education, Ron Wyatt, IRC, AIG, etc.If you choose to take it personally then that is not my problem. There are plenty of times where you say things about my "position" that sort of get to me too. But who am I to complain about how you feel about theological evolution. You are welcome to believe anything you like about that and you let people like Jar and I know what you think of TE all the time.

No you're wrong. I was not thinking of myself in particular, I was thinking of fundamentalists in general.Asgara asked what there would be to be upset about if one felt the terms did not apply, and the answer is that what one would be upset about is being misrepresented or lied about. I think you may have a problem with the generic "you."

Actually what is happening here is classic evo stupidity and addiction to accusing others of personal failures and imputing evil motivations. I read Asgara's "you" to mean "one." If she meant anything more specific it went over my head.But how typical this kind of misreading is on your part, followed by the personal attack from you guys. Never a shred of grace or benefit of the doubt from the anti-fundamentalists. You get it wrong, you mislabel it, you misrepresent it but then you POTM each other about your straw man and congratulate each other.Oh but what else is new. So it suddenly isn't a hypothetical at all. Now you want to suggest that it is a general statement that does not include you. But that reading too is not viable. You wrote that you were upset about being "lied about or misrepresented" - with nothing to hint that it refered to anyone but yourself.
