Indeed, and it gets better than that. If one takes the Tazmanian "wolf" as an example, according to creationsist it must have been a wolf because similarity proves common design. However, DNA analysis clearly demonstrates that it was a marsupial and not closely related to any eutherian carnivore. Convergent evolution of morphological features puts the similarity proves design nonsense in the toilet...but it is not a problem for common ancestry...yet one more fact for the IDist/creationist camp to ignore while sticking their fingers in their ears with their eyes closed singing la dee da dee da.
