Queer Theory says that Shakespeare was homophobic? You just couldn't have picked a worse example if you tried.
I didn't say that. I said "any given work"--I didn't mean necessarily Shakespeare's work. Nor is the homophobia necessarily about the author's.
Many think that Shakespeare himself was homosexual and one certainly gets that impression from reading the Sonnets.
ABE: Well, bisexual anyway.
