man came to you someday telling you some thing that is unbelievable . but he proved his honesty . would you believe him ? even if his truth is inconsistent with what you have reached to-untill then- in your trustful way???????
His honesty is neither here or there. I'm interested in what he call PROVE. People are quite easy to fool.

I have read it - it's a book of fairystories like the bible.
no it's not impossible to have been written by a man, it's quite clearly written by a man. Quran told us 1400 years ago things that have been recently prooved by science. This is an assumption on your part, can you back it up with anything? Don't bother about the babies - I'll blow you straight out of the water on that one. For examples it says the sex is determined after 40 days - pure crap. This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 07-26-2004 07:25 AM

that is an assumption on your part - large elements of the koran are just plain steals from other cultures.
I'm glad you have your faith but it's just another book of fairystories to the rest of us. If you are so happy to defend it - why don't you start a thread about the koran and the scientific truth contained within?

Without speaking for Ned, I would guess that he is getting at the same point that I am.
You like the christian fundies are saying "this book is totally true", we are saying "no it's not and should not be taken literally as large elements are wrong". We can go around in circles on this one, but bear in mind that on this site if we make an assumption, we need to back it up. If you want to say that the Koran is scientifically correct can you give us examples to back it up? If not, we will consider your claim to be unproven at best and worse false.

I believe in quran . Good for you.
i said it is true and i prooved that no one can write like it. You haven't proved a thing, you haven't even provided a quote from it. That is a straight lie.
you claim that it is not , i asked you to write like 1/10 of it,but you did not answer . because it's a very silly idea, one that you actually seems to think proves something.
you claimed and asked me to prove that your claiming is wrong. what is your logic!!!! More intact than your it seems. You are the one making the extraordinary claim, it's upto YOU to prove it - not me to disprove it.I was replying to YOUR claim that the koran was full of scientific proof. Your claim was made here in post 101:
dandion writes: THE PROOF is something hard for you to examine. It is our HOLY QURAN you need to learn arabic first in order to examine it . If you could .you will find that it is impossible to be written by a man .who can not read or write (or even if he could).Quran told us 1400 years ago things that have been recently prooved by science. so we believe that Quran is from God(ALLAH). and we believed every thing in it.(quran told us that ALLAH created ADAM and his wife ,thus the human beings existed ) Do you have any? or is it a baseless assumption on your part? Can you name two or three of those things that have been recently proved by science? No? This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 07-29-2004 05:21 AM

I'm sorry that make zero sense at all to me. Is it a translation?
Anyone care to have a stab at what that is say? It appears to be saying that the deeper you go in the ocean, the darker it gets! - Thanks for bring that to our attention - clearly only God could provide such knowledge! This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 08-04-2004 06:06 AM

OK I have had a second look - it seems to be suggesting that Billows (large waves) may be seen in conjunction with other billows?
Are there any predictions in the Koran about Bears shitting in woods? Or Popes' being catholic?

I have even less idea what that is all about.
Look - I'm not saying that this is not true but I cannot under what they are trying to say. Let's wait and see what some of the others have to say.
