Giant People in the bible?

You would be surprised at how much surprising information one can get from emailing the right individuals.BTW, Jonathan Gray has actually written a book recently about giant humans.As a note to everybody:If we are going to discuss the matter of whether or not giant human-groups (in general) existed beyond the middle-east, then I will attempt to supply all the information I have collected over the past 4-5 years.I have infact, been studying and researching extensively the traditions and records of large & tall human tribes, and their remains as documented within North and South America and abroad.

I think that the 12-ft mummy reminds me of the Cardiff Giant of the 1860's, which was a famous carved hoax. The fact that no scientists are mentioned makes me believe this.But I think the goal I need to achieve is to find out somehow, whether or not the fingerbone Ron Found is in the museum in Nashville. If a doctor could verify or disprove its authenticity then we would have actual truth about it.Lysimachus, You said that you know a guy named Andrew who claims to have some large human bones? If you could ask him if he still has them , or if he would be willing to take a photo of them that would shed some light on the mystery.

Thanks for the info. I think this can prettymuch convince me that the fossil giant is a hoax just like the Cardiff. Back in th 19th century they got big bucks for circus sideshow props like these.

No, but we do see "tribes" of exceptionally tall people in parts of Africa and even South America.I don't know of any genetic predisposition to gigantism, but actual families and tribes of individuals who pass on genes of tall stature is a common occurence.Again, look at some of the tribes in Africa where individuals 7-feet and even taller are a common occurance. These are individuals like the 7'7" NBA player Manute Bol, who was a meber of the Dinka tribe in southern Sudan. His father was 6ft7, and his grandfather was 7ft1. Therefore, I wouldn't say it is a far stretch to assume that tribes and family members of "giants" do exist, and existed in the past.(giants, being individuals within 2-3 metres)

Exactly.For example, it would be highly doubtful a perfectly proportioned human 12 feet tall could ever exist. That would be in defiance of the cube law, or ~8 times the wieght of a human with the same body frame. Some one that enormous would have their bones break under each step, and their heart couldn't pump blood efficiently.It is within speculation that a human that tall might have existed if he were very light in weight compared to his height.But the tallest man that has been reliably measured within the last hundred years, was the pre-acromegalic giant Robert wadlow of Alton, Ill who was measured on June 27, 1940 by Dr. C. M. Charles, Associate Professor of Anatomy at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, and was found to be 8 foot 11 and 1/10 inches tall, and he weighed 439 lbs at the time.

I certainly am skeptical about it. But it does seems quite real looking at first glance. I have studied it for a couple hours using negatives to see if there is any sign of photoshop manipulation and I haven't really seen any.I know that this photo is not in any way solid evidence for human giants, but I just wanted to share it with you so I could hear your opinions about it.By the way, I calculated that the skeleton would have to be of an individual atleast 11-12 feet tall when living.{Fixed UBB img code - Adminnemooseus}This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 09-13-2004 11:35 AM

Thank you guys for giving your comments.I think that Perhaps the camera man was shading the picture of the guy doing the excavation.But also, we have to take into account the man doing the digging in the rib section has very dark skin.Supposedly, Saudi police took over the location of the find.As for it being carved. Yes, quite Possible, but not very likely.
That would be a very intricate carving. I mean, look at the bones and teeth and all, they look so real.But I do believe that if this is a hoax, it is one of the most convincing hoaxes I have ever seen.Again, thanks for giving me your feedback.

Also, look at how close to the surface the skeleton is.How recent does it look to you? If it had been lying that close to the surface for thousands of years without being disturbed that would be a miracle.

Perhaps you guys could explain a little more about the lighting problem? The guy digging has dark skin. When I use the color enhancing or lighten the picture using my image viewer, It simply shows that he has dark brown skin.try adjusting the brightness on your computer.By the way, I have been to Worth1000.com, I am registered there. And I haven't seen any skeleton hoax that even came close to being this realistic looking. I'm not saying it's impossible.

Thanks for explaining. I can't say I agree with you about it, but I see the entire light source as coming from above, It is not very accurate to pinpoint it as coming from just one direction. The paint brush and plastic bag are illuminated aswell. Clearly this was mid-day or afternoon when the sun was shining overhead.Also, look at the dirt that fell into the eye socket of the skull, and there are footprints next to the brush and bag.

I wouldn't say poorly done. LOLI mean,I'm still convinced it might be real. BTW, The sun is shining on his head.
