Old Morgie...
Ah yes, Chiroptera, the Lord Giveth and the Divorce Court Taketh away! Do I sense a bit of frumpiness from Dame Schraf? Can you believe she would suggest that I be fair with my nemesis and winner of the house and kids?? Just to show you what I was dealing with, even the judge in the case was caught with his paw in the Kibbles and Bits and avoided jail time by the skin of his tainted robes while his brother (another Chancery Judge)is under federal indictment for bribery and HIS son has been charged with murder of a prisoner at the local jailhouse. Wholly schit, is this a Jerry Springer moment or what?

Yes I did. Married a marsupial hussy. Met her at the hop. (sorry, that was a punny bad one but I just had to say it)
NORMALLY when tired or upset, most people hit the sack. But when I was feeling insecure and bit depressed, I would just hop in the pouch. Whew, sometimes it smelled like 3 day old flounder in there. Oh Oh admin nurdunkus is getting pissed. Off the subject.

While I appreciate and will fight for a person's right to do as he pleases in this matter, I just don't get the whole church/God thing. Just don't confuse church and God, is my advice. If God did indeed put His laws in our hearts and minds, then you will know in your heart and mind if a church is even coming close to following God's ways. So I don't blame you for feeling this way. I just focus mainly on what was written about Jesus. took me a loooong time before I ever felt anything.

It seems we can't stay on topic. Which order or class of verts we married into is NOT the topic. Nor is Jesus.

How did the land dwelling animal get to these places if Noah's ark landed somewhere in the middle east? How did the deer get back on Staten Island after only 100 years? Of course I realize there is a big difference between swimming to Staten Island, and Hawaii, but it is amazing none the less. Makes you think.

Well, I take it the factor of some people decided to introduce long gone species or exotic species to the the area is out of the question?
Beside that, I honestly don't know what your point is. Care to explain?

Look at a map of Staten Island. The Island is separated from New Jersey by what would be called a stream in most places.

Ok, I si what you mean.
Even if the island was a little more isolated from the mainland, there are still many possibilities other than the reason riverrat seams to be hinting at (magic?).

Magic? What are you some kind of wise guy?
OMG dude, I can't believe you think that I meant magic, of all the stupidest things I ever heard on EVC that one takes the cake, you get the award. And no jar, that is not a stream, it is a major shipping channel, with extremely strong currents, and most likely, the animals swam there.
The lake I live on is almost a mile across, and people have witnessed deer swimming across it before. Or, on a very cold winter, they may have walked across, (polar bears explained) but I don't know if the Aurther Kill ever freezes. I know the Hudson river, and the East river freezes, but there are further away from warm ocean currents. The point is, if it is possible, it can happen. You, or every scientist in the world just may have not thought of a way yet.

That a deer can swim 600 feet across the Arthur Kill is not surprising.
That a Platapus or a Koala or a Kangaroo could swim many thousands of miles to Australia is a different matter altogether.

Yes, I could probably swim such a distance if I need to. I think you've solved the problem, riverrat. You've done something that no one has done before. Because of you, we now know that kankaroos and other marsupials swam thousands of miles across open ocean to get to where they are today. Or may be they survived a year's time on floating matts of vegetation?

Hinting at us that kankaroos can swim thousands of miles across open ocean isn't hinting at magic? Perhaps kankaroos had wings back then? May be they were fallen angels?

We must be talking magic.
I don't know how you can equate deer swimming across a river to crossing thousands of miles of open ocean. In your theory just how did the blind and earless marsupial moles (in addition to a variety of earthworms) make it across - perhaps inside the pouches of kangaroos?

Here's a map I found on a web site discussing a cruise. It shows Hawaii and the ocean around it.
It's interesting to compare this with the images in Messages 53 and 54. Sorry to post so large a size, but I was trying to get Arthur Kill to show up. Can anyone see it? ___ Edited by Archer Opterix, : brevity. Edited by AdminAsgara, : changed img tags to thumb Archer All species are transitional.

I would also like to point out that it's not just the swim across that much open ocean seems to be magic, it's also how the animal know which direction to swim that's also amazing. Say that a group of kankaroos decided to take a swim to find a new home, how the hell did they know which way to swim so to combine with ocean currents would take them to a land thousands of miles away? Human explorers had enough trouble trying to find remote land masses during the age of sail even with the various navigational methods that took people thousands of years to figure out.

I've always wondered how Australia's very interesting wildlife got there after the Flud, not to mention the Tazmanian Devil itself. I think it's actually the monotremes that are unique to Australia/New Guinea. I think that young earthers stick in land bridges pretty much everywhere to help things along.
That's why I wonder about the sloths, in particular. Even if we're generous with land bridges, at the rate these animals move I figure that, starting from the Middle-east 5000 years ago, they'd just about be reaching South America now. Can any YEC help me to understand the story of the sloths?
