As you would know, if you had read the Bible, the Bible says that man does not need God for morality and in addition, we are also empowered to judge God's behavior and to instruct God when God is about to behave immorally.
Now you may not accept that but it is what the Bible says. Edited by jar, : fix sub-titleAnyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Faith says:
[qoute] ask god when you see him [\qoute] I don't want to be offensive but your essentially saying that is is freaking zero point in engaging you in serious debate Faith. That's at best a cop out answer and at worse the most deplorable type of blind faith.

Surprising.
It's from an early part of the Bible, Genesis 3. God herself says:
God writes:
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: We know good and evil as well as God does.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Well, what do you expect me to say? I believe in God, not some made up nonsense, GOD, not a cop out, not blind faith -- that's YOUR idea of God not mine. You WILL see Him some day and you can ask Him then.

jar writes: Except that it never instructs us to question and challenge Jesus Christ and even if we did, we would never out moralize nor out think Him. As you would know, if you had read the Bible, the Bible says that man does not need God for morality and in addition, we are also empowered to judge God's behavior and to instruct God when God is about to behave immorally. Now you may not accept that but it is what the Bible says. We evidently dont know "good" as well as we need to, either. Rom 7:18-1918 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. JAR's idea of what the Bible says is so bizarre nobody should give him a second thought.

Faith writes: His theology is different, based loosely on Jewish morality and rejecting the idea of a once and for all atonement.(he thinks it cheap and a cop out) JAR's idea of what the Bible says is so bizarre nobody should give him a second thought. Jars problem is that he thinks humans can do it themselves...without need of a pardon and empowerment. I respect, though disagree with him on that one.

Of course we can out moralise God/Jesus (Matt 5:18 Jesus supports "the law" so I'm
Gonna group them together): They condoned slavery - we banned it They killed children to make a political point - I certainly wouldn't They believed that the correct recompense for raping an unmarried woman was to have her marry her rapist - we jail the rapist They say its ok to stone disobedient children - we educate and understand them They discriminate based on sexual orientation - we accept people for who they are The list goes on and on, shall I continue?

I don't judge God but I know everything He does is right and "murder" can only be done by human beings, not by God, who forbids it in the Ten Commandments. Ah, I see, not only is murder OK when Moloch does it, it isn't even murder. Wait, I'll read that again. Not only is murder OK when the Fhrer does it, it isn't even murder. Wait, no, I'm still confused. Here, I'll get it right this time. Not only is murder OK when the Catholic Church does it, it isn't even murder. Wait ... I'm sure I'll get it right eventually ... could it be Tezcatlipoca the Lord of the North who's exempt from all moral considerations? Or is it the Communist Party? I forget.

Gosh, we have a little mimic here don't we? Isn't he cute?
Of course both Allah and Jehovah can't be God, you pick one or neither. My bet is on Jehovah. He's the one you'll be seeing some day.

God can only do justice, as in the death penalty. Justice.
Murder is done by the Fuhrer and other human beings. Sorry it's so difficult for you, but I can assure you that some day it will all be only too clear.

the Bible says that we should even question God as you know. A great example is when God is out on his walkabout in Genesis 18 trying to find out if the rumors he has heard about Sodom and Gomorrah were true he tells Abraham what he planned on doing. Abraham realizes that what God plans is immoral and so points that out to God; God agrees with Abraham's understanding of morality.
And the very quote you post supports the fact that man does not need God to know what is moral or immoral. Paul understands that he is a failure and not doing what he KNOWS he should do.
