Yes Dan,
For WT, it all goes back to that old Original Sin story where eating some kind of fruit and acquiring knowledge was the sin.

WT, I guess this is mostly directed at you, but I welcome any inputs.
I just don't seem to understand how there can be any link between education and/or intelligence, and morality.
Also, I go out of my way to not take sides regarding the conflict in the mid-East.
I certainly don't condone terrorism, but I can understand that they are desperate. When you feel you have to fight, you fight with what you can.
Had the Palestinians been propped up for decades with billion$ in foreign aid, I think that they would also be fighting with planes, tanks, and helicopters.
I do think that the British (and allies) used bad judgement after WWI when they decided to relocate Jews into Palestine. It was perhaps an even worse decision to create the country of Israel in 1948. The agenda, or rationale, for doing this was to prop up a Christian belief that there has to be an existing country of Israel in order for other prophetic events to transpire. The Jews were definitely benefitting from this. After all, they were being handed a new country. But perhaps they were also being used.
At any rate, I can certainly understand how the Palestinians are upset that they were driven from their lands. Put yourself in their place. You'd probably fight too, in any way you possibly could. My guess is that they would prefer to fight as soldiers, if they could.

WT,
I would never presume to speak for loudmouth, but since I stated sentiments very similar to his in my post # 48 I feel I can post a reply to your latest offering.
I categorically state that I don't condone any acts of terrorism. I am fairly certain that loudmouth would agree.
What I think we were both saying, and he can certainly modify this if he feels I am misrepresenting his position, is that while we don't condone the terrorism, we understand that they feel this in the only way they can fight back at this time.
If the Palestinians had been propped up with matching billions and billions of dollars in foreign aid over the years, I am quite sure that it would be tanks fighting against tanks, and jets fighting against jets over there in strictly military battles. But the fact is, only the one side has been supported, making the other side fight back in any way they can. In some ways, this one-sided support is a contributing cause of non-military fighting.
Perhaps giving a few billions of dollars to the Palestinians would let them fight militarily, instead of in the only way they can, with terrorism.
I think some very poor judgement has been used in the mid-East.
