Then I suggest you argue that the government supply revolvers to emergency rooms, and enact legislation requiring that if anybody shows up at an emergency room without clear evidence of insurance, a bullet should be put through their head.

The cost of medical premiums has exceeded my actual medical costs every year. I don't have a problem with paying for myself.
My problem is with the freeloaders, who expect to get treated at an emergency room. And the cost of that finishes up as part of my insurance premiums.
I doubt that a modern society could do what I suggested in my first reply sentence. And if it cannot do that, then public supported healthcare is unavoidable. So the real question is how to make it more rational and affordable than the dysfunctional system that we currently have.
