You will be filled up with the Holy Spirit, you will be somewhat "synchronized" will Him. Then, if He's willing to contact you, you will be able to go through the following process;

when you think you can communicate with Him this way, let me know how you feel. Hehe...

sometimes you will be able to ask for a miracle to occur. Alternatively, you may prophecise and He will make it come true. Sometimes, you just raise your doubts and you are going to see miracles, and "prophecies" you made unintentionally.
When you encountered these, just let me know. By then, you will be able to tell me something about His characteristics.
