I would like to think that "Unfit for Command" is worth reading, but frankly, democrats and liberals I talk to, just could care less about the medals, they care about the BIG issues, forget abortion, and the past wrong doings of the canidate, and think about the BIG stuff like the economy, healthcare, when talking to anyone on this website, that is why "UNFIT FOR COMMAND" is maybe good to read if you care more about the person and the persons beliefs, which a lot of people do (they are not wrong for this), but many liberals I talk to would rather look at the issues.
Talking about the Canidate's beliefs and morals is useless I guess with every liberal I have spoken to. In my bubble this seems to be the case, maybe you can take this as advice, whatever. It's a lot more complex than that.
This reply may seem hypocritical, I have spoken with people about making ALL Christians "sleepers" in their posts, liberals aren't all like that of course, I'm just saying that they have priorities that seem to override the "small" things.

The earth is flat.

Precisely, thanks for a prime example!

Maybe the bubble is bigger than I had thought.

No, I think this is a pretty standard position among progressives, liberals, and Kerry supporters.
Generalization is never good, it's a lot more complex than this.

It's much like creationism. It's an easy battle to win because the evidence is clear, copious, and irrefutable.
I'm loving the slick remarks, that you seem to enjoy using to erk people with.
Frankly, I was under the impression that the evidence is sometimes unclear, ever-changing, refutable, and at times diminutive,
Nope, can't be the case, this is unquestionably truth, believe it or be deemed inadequate as a debater at evc...
At least admit that this was at the least off topic and wanton.

Re: right on.
But I thought Kerry voted for the War? AM I wrong here? Is Kerry imcompetent also?
Maybe from this standpoint, explain.

Your signature, common knowledge that Sr and Jr do not agree on certain issues like this.

That's pretty cool I'd say.
But Bush Sr wasn't in his son's position...

Wait, admit that these are two different wars, that Bush Sr. was and never will be in the same position as Bush Jr.

The situations of the two men were/are different.
Judging them with the use two sets of different circumstances/consequences is not a good idea.

With that, (the above reply to moose), I say your points concerning JR. and SR. can be valid, but not critical, you can't use them to tell either one of them that they did the wrong thing.

What?
What I was trying to say is, you are comparing two people, in two different times, in two different situations, with two different sets of consequences. I think comparing the two with the reasoning you have shown me is foolish.
quote:
"Sr. realized that invading Baghdad was a really bad idea and therefore didn't do it."
In Between these two quotes is time, and change, the world was a different place when Sr. was in power, first off, 9/11 of course did not happen. I am not saying that 9/11 was a reason for war, please do not misunderstand this, but say 9/11 happened when Sr. was in office, things would have obviously been different.
"
quote:
Jr. foolishly and recklessly invaded Baghdad withoput any plan of how to do it or what to do once they got there."
In 2003, coalition forces acted with skill and bravery to liberate the Iraqi people and remove a grave and gathering danger to America and the world.
In 2001, with less than a month’s notice, American and British forces joined with local anti-Taliban troops in an assault on the al Qaeda network and the Taliban regime that gave it safe harbor in Afghanistan.
In both cases, decisive victories were achieved by integrating real time intelligence with sophisticated technologies in cooperation with indigenous forces. -georgewbush.com
All that without a plan? Really.
I think Bush had a plan, no matter how stupid, uneffiecient, inadequate and too simple you might think it may have been.

This assumes that the war in Iraq is in any way related to the "war" on terror. It isn't. Shrub had the plan to invade Iraq ready to go before 911 and was waiting for an opportunity to impliment it. My laptop is down (will have to rebuild tommorrow, yech) so I do not have the bookmark for the site with this information, it is a neocon site and lists cheney and others as members (It also talks about 'whatevers' new world order).
No problem, I believe you, you have proven time and time again, an evidence provider.
All I want to hear is Schraf admit that comparing Bush Sr. and Jr. is foolish, 9/11 would have changed what went on during Bush Sr.'s time as pres.
If she cannot admit that being true, than I don't know what to say...
quote:
what danger where? Last I saw, Iraq had barely the ability to attack Iran again.
Not going to argue this, but a reasonable suggestion might be Saddam Hussein?

Really? How, do you think?
Are you saying that Sr. would have changed his opinion completely and would have invaded a sovereign nation to get it's oil? Do you think Sr. would have sent almost 1,000 American soldiers to their deaths for the oil? Do you think Sr., the former head of the CIA, would have been so gullible and dumb about the very shaky intelligence?
Funny how oil comes into the conversation, isn't it?
Funny how you like to put words in my mouth, isn't it?
Funny how you ask the above questions with such vindication, isn't it?
But would I expect anymore than that from you, nope.
I never actually stated how 9/11 would force Sr. into war, I merely said things would have been different. Wouldn't you agree?
quote:
{the stuff from gwb.com that you are questioning}
It's from his campaign website, what do you expect?
A plan was needed for the actions that pres. went through with. Again I don't care how uneffiecient, inadequate, too simple, or too slow it might have been.
quote:
:"Let's go bomb 'em and get the oil, install some puppet government that we still control."
wow lol
