That does sound veal good.
It's a winner. Ideally, one precedes it with hors d'oeuvres, and follows it with mascarpone.

No. You have to bring your own cart.

Indeed, why not? Other recommended mane courses include Aintree and Churchill Downs. That is, for those who enjoy stakes.

I thought the controversy was contaminating their horse meat by putting beef in it, no?

Ah! I see you scoff, neighsayer. In your American way, you cry out horsely "folderol"!
Yet little do you know of the noble origins of the expression. Foal de roll is a fine Norman dish; tender meat incased in real thorough bread, invariably washed down with a fine eq-wine.

Indeed. That's why we're on the subject.
For those wondering what this subthread is all about.
Last paragraph from that article:
quote:
Separately, Aintree Racecourse said that Peter Boddy, whose slaughterhouse in West Yorkshire was raided by the FSA, removed the carcases of some horses who were put down during the races.
Peter Boddy!

MMA fighter eats horse meat ONLY
Wait, don't you guys have horse meat in your beef over there?
Alistair Overeem of the UFC says he only eats horse meat. Joe Rogan recently tried it and tweeted that it was delicious. Plus the picture he posted looked like a regular piece of steak.

I don't know whether this translates for the American market, but it works on this side of the pond.

No, the controversy arose when we found out that our burgers were contaminated with meat.
Seriously though - FFS!
The ingredients are listed as "Mechanically recovered meat"...
How could anyone be surprised to find out that the meat was not exactly 'pure'?!?

Necessarily, you'd think.
But like other Subway offerings in the news lately (and Hollywood gossip), the Italian Stallion may prove a bit short of billing.
