Re: Low brow joke
Cultural differences.

When I was in Germany, I had some film processed. The pictures came back in a Kodak envelope covered with typical family photos, just like here in the US. One photo was of a little girl maybe 3 or 4 years old holding a Halbe (half liter glass beer mug) and sipping some of the beer. I've been told that that's the proudest day of a father's life.

In the US, it used to be customary for kids errands to include picking up a bucket of beer from the local bar for their parents.

Holiday Spirit
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right through our skeet range.
Guns aim higher, deer on fire,
Oh, aint it a shame?
The chunk of sled that crushed his head
Was the largest thing they found.
There was really nothing left
When that Santie Claus hit the ground.

Uxbridge English Dictionary
We have a brilliant comedy game show on the radio over here in the UK, called I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

One of the games is Uxbridge English Dictionary, where the panelists provide new definitions for old words.

I was very happy to find a website with a lot of them listed:

www.alspcs.com/main.html

Enjoy :-)

Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

People of sense and of taste never vary on
whether or not Kris Kringle is Aryan ---
if a black man came down through the chimney at night
the folks at Fox News would shoot him on sight;
though they're aware he's a fictional figment,
they're certain for sure that he's lacking in pigment
(it's just one more slur from the liberals who
pretend that Our Savior is some kind of Jew).

This kind of rumor is tragic yet funny,
Santa's as white as the Easter Bunny;
hints to the contrary are hilarious,
Santa's a WASP just like the Tooth Fairy is.
Those who think otherwise must be crazy: an
imbecile could see he's Caucasian.
Let's thank Fox News for putting us right,
and may your Christmases be White.
